Quote from JCTK :just proved all the rules for slowing things down is working~!
was that back in the V10 days~?

If they slow down the cars that much shouldn't they start the lap records all over again for the new cars?
I wonder if they would ever go back to 1500bhp, that was in the Lotus.

Has the track had any changes in recent years, as Shumacher has the lap record of 1:32.238 and they wasn't hitting no where near that today.

Also, Hamilton seemed really relaxed and confident this weekend, lets hope he can carry it to brazil.

Brilliant drive from Hamilton, let's hope he can do the same in Brazil which I think he can. LOL at the trophy falling apart.

Quote from pb32000 :Nah it doesn't, it's the DXZ648RMP, whatever that stands for. It's a couple of years old, specs are here.

Ah, it is the exact same design with just some of the specs of the one we have taken off, I think it is just the storage and support for DVD's and so on. I know what you mean about the amount of leads it has in the back, there are loads of them

Quote from pb32000 :Depends how seriously you take your audio. My couple-of-year-old Clarion headunit looks a bit OTT (although not in comparison to most) but it provides the kind of quality I wanted, and indeed more inputs/outputs than you can shake a stick at. But then I guess it was £200, which is a lot in comparison to the car.

That looks similar to the old mans, does yours have the hard drive for storing your music on and support DVD's and so on? Ours might just look similar.

Quote from ajp71 :Chance of an after market radio not looking naff is pretty low given that they are mainly designed to attract boy racer chavs. The few that are stylish would look silly in a Proton and are probably worth more than the car itself. It is a pretty stupid suggestion, if the replacement does not fit as a straight replacement then putting it into the dashboard subtly would at the very least require a good blank to be machined to fit it (assuming he doesn't want to go the chavved up Corsa route).

I would of posted a link to some Clarions I know of, cost £400 a piece. Built in hard drive, MP3, Ipod and so on, amazing stereo's, my dad got one, couldn't find a fault with it

Quote from wheel4hummer :But that aftermarket radio won't be plug and play. He might need to get a mounting kit, and definitely needs a wiring adapter if he wants it to be reversible, and doesn't feel like cutting up his stock wiring.

It doesn't really take much to do though does it, I know it may take a while the first time he installs a aftermarket stereo, but everyone has to start some where.

Why dont you just buy a new car stereo with Ipod/MP3 support? Just quickly had a look on halfords and saw this, relatively cheap: http://www.halfords.com/webapp ... ngId_-1_categoryId_165474

Quote from NotAnIllusion : but without a safety car tomorrow, Hamilton is going to win, Massa 3rd or 4th T_T

No, Hamilton will win and Massa will finish fifth which would hand Hamilton the championship.

Kovalainen seems to have trouble finding the right braking spot on the hairpin, pitty he locked the front wheels up which stopped him from qualifying higher.

I would really love for Massa to not finish this race and Hamilton to win the race. Hamilton would of won the WDC and may give him the boost that he needs, but I think it will get decided in Brazil, who knows...

Quote from Migz :VERY NICE

I got an iTouch(you while you sleep) saturday, and ive not been of it since. Its absolutely awesome. Only problem is the speakers kinda suck, not very loud if theres no silence.
Instead of getting some random headphones why dont you get the headphones made specifically for the itouch?

They would be great to get becasue they have buttons on the wire to change song and volume and pause ect. And it has a mic in them, so you can do voip using your itouch

If not then ive heard some headphones by a company called alien are the best on the market right now

Edit: Oh i forgot to mention that their are in ear headphones also made by apple with a built in sub or something, their very very good and also come with the buttons on the wire and the mic

Apple in-ear headphones are rubbish, people think they are good just because they are loud by the sound quality on them are rubbish. I will have a look around.

Quote from Thunderhead :either koss the plug on the cheap side(only if they fit your ears..you'll have to test somewhere) or anything by shure on the expensive side. Those sennheisers are good too though.

I may go for the sennheisers because they sound good and from the reviews the sound quality and they seem to be able to handle bass well which is good for dance music.

Could anyone recommend me a good set of in-ear headphones please. I am getting a itouch for christmas as my 1st gen Nano has had it and so have the rubbish apple headphones.
The headphones need to be able to handle bass well and the music being on loud without breaking after a couple of months like some do i.e. the apple headphones.

I found these but I thought I would come here to see what you guys recommend first.

Edit: Forgot to say that the price of the headphones need to be between £20-£40

Quote from keiran :That's up for debate... did he or did he not bin it at the Nurburgring in 2007? Did he not land in the world smallest gravel trap in China 2007? Also I'm sure he was miles off the pace in the wet at Monza 08 during qualifying.

Didn't Hamilton do amazing at Silverstone this year in the wet, yes. He also got upto 2nd at one point at Monza. At China last year wasn't it a type failure that put him in the gravel trap because the car wouldn't turn aswel with a tyre in good condition? Everyone was coming off last year at the Nurburing, I also recall the restarted the race at one point because the weather was so bad, didn't they.

Yes, but I think it would be boring if the races was too short.
How much fuel can a current F1 fuel tank hold?

Quote :might actually reduce overtaking if everyone is on the same fuel level.

Aren't they trying to rise overtaking in F1, less overtaking would be boring.

FOTA to consider refuelling ban and as a result would make the races shorter. It says in the article that they are considering this due to pit stop mistakes, one of them being mentioned is Massa's pit stop in Singapore.

Massa has said that he expects Hamilton to be strong in these last two races:http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/71394

If I recall correctly, Hamilton was good at China last year until the flat tyre, so if he can do aswell this year it would be great. I would love Massa and Kubica to go into a bit of a battle and crash which as a result ends both of their race, and then Hamilton goes and wins the GP and the title with one race left, Brazil. I would like to see Massa's and Kubica's faces if that happened and their comments, best of all how they would act towards each other.

If it rains I dont think no one would be able to catch Hamilton, his wet weather skills are better than anymore else's on the grid. Hopefully Mclaren dont mess up his race by not letting him pit like they did last year when his tyre had, had it. Pity that the car wouldn't turn when the tyre was damaged when going into the pit lane but went into the gravel trap instead.

When does Hamilton get a fresh engine? Does he get one for the last race of the season, Brazil?

I would also have to say that this being a Peter Kay show, it is one of his worst one yet. I love the rest of his shows though, Phoenix Nights, Road to no where and of course him on stage.
