Quote from tristancliffe :Without exception the people that use this mod are either below 15 years old (i.e. immature, and needing to impress) or just stupid. I doubt any have any qualifications or prospects.

I am not alone in my opinion on this matter.

No but you're being completely pompus and stuck up your own behind. Wtf does it matter if someone doesn't look like a racer. This is after all just a game...

Sim snobbery!...

For me it's the lack of apparent progress which means I don't bother coming here too regularly anymore.

What's so hard about writing a regular dev update? I think it'd help show which direction the devs are taking and would also help get the majority of people excited about the new content.

As it stands we're left speculating about what Scavier is working on, we assume it's going to be good as we've not heard much for a while, but we just don't know...

The game needs a few more tracks and a lot more car types, surely this wouldn't take too much developer time and would yield a lot more interest in the game.

I've been stuck tweaking the game to try and eek out a bit more pleasure from LFS, but even that gets boring after a while.

Come on already... I doubt the devs are that worried about it if they don't want to personally check it.

This is obviously a popular mod, which for many people adds another dimension to their enjoyment of LFS, why delay it's release?

Serves me right...

I thought with it being the season of goodwill and all that we might get an update worth downloading. I'm personally getting a little bored of the car and track lineup and would love to have something new to try.

The only reason why I would like to see more modding, is that currently there aren't many interesting cars in LFS (my opinion, obviously if you disagree, then that'll be your opinion...) and so I use Mekanik and LFS Tweak to help model other cars that I would like to see in the game.

I would really like to see an upto date version of tweak that had all of the old S1 abilities, such as changing wheel locations and adding downforce, but only for the single player game. Coupled to this it would be cool to see a few more car models, such as a mid-engined car similar to an NSX or Esprit and a saloon or two.

The one thing I do like about rFactor is the wide range of different cars and tracks that you can drive, which will no doubt help to continually revitalise the gaming experience.

It's easy to scream "use the search!" everytime, but seriously, have you ever used it? Most forums have clunky search functions at best, and this forum is no different.

The constant stream of requests for Mecanik and tweak for the latest version of LFS shows to me how big a following these mods have and as we haven't see a new patch since 29th April I can understand why so many people are requesting versions of these excellent mods for the latest version of the game.

LFS for me has always been about editing the car types and playing around with different cars (the cars I'd like to drive aren't really catered for in LFS) so I can understand the anticipation felt by many in this part of the forum.

At the bottom of the screenie it says: "Live for Speed 2002 - 2006"

Very ominous... Is this the end?

Are they telling us that we will all have to play F1 sims to get out jollies from now on?
