Felipe Massa has rubbished suggestions that Ferrari could replace him at the end of the season, after all he has "a three-year contract."

Having failed to score a single point in the first two races of the season, and having made mistakes along the way, Massa's future with Ferrari is one of the hot topics of the moment.

While some claim that Toro Rosso's Sebastian Vettel could replace the Brazilian, others believe it's only a matter of time before Fernando Alonso heads to the Italian outfit.

Massa, though, has denied suggestions that he's on his way out.

"Everyone at the team is actually happy and I have a three-year contract - that you should not forget," he told the Bild newspaper.

He added: "Everyone can at times have a good or a bad day."

FIA's view on this lol Im FIA spokesman for the week lol

Quote :
The FIA has refused to comment after its president Max Mosley was allegedly exposed in a Sunday newspaper enjoying - if that is the right word - a "Nazi-styled" sex game.

The News of the World published video stills of a man that it claimed was FIA President Mosley, alleging that he was pretending to be a Nazi concentration camp commandant punishing girls dressed as camp inmates. We'll leave the rest to your imagination.

The FIA have been quick to distance themselves from the controversy now surrounding their president.

"As far as the FIA is concerned, this is a matter between Mr Mosley and the newspaper. The FIA has no comment," a spokesperson said.

He added that Mosley's lawyers had already been "in touch" with the newspaper.

Meanwhile, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has defended Mosley. He told the Daily Mail: "I find it difficult to believe.

"It's his business but it sounds to me like a set-up. Has he in any way damaged F1? No."

The newspaper story, though, has angered many with former F1 driver Sir Stirling Moss, who had a Jewish father, calling for Mosley to step down immediately.

"I don't see how he can continue. I hope he can, frankly, because I think he's very good at what he does," he told the Times.

"I suppose what goes on behind closed doors is his business, but when a thing comes out like this... it's an absolute shocker."

Holocaust Centre Director Stephen Smith also feels Mosley should reliquish his position with the FIA immediately.

"As Mr Mosley has condemned the racism in motor sport, he should live up to the standards he sets," Smith said.

"This is an insult to millions of victims, survivors and their families. He should apologise. He should resign from the sport."

Quote from AndroidXP :
PS: As far as I know it doesn't have anything to do with the Coriolis effect as the force it exerts is far too low on such a small scale.

That would be correct.

Quote :
In reality the Coriolis effect is a few orders of magnitude smaller than various random influences on drain direction, such as the geometry of the container and the direction in which water was initially added to it. Most toilets flush in only one direction, because the toilet water flows into the bowl at an angle. If water shot into the basin from the opposite direction, the water would spin in the opposite direction.

Not a very good thread lol, but i have never thought about it before, which is unlike me, normally prone to having random thoughts

FIA's Reaction to Malaysia chaos

This is what action the FIA has decided to take.

Quote :FIA are to set maximum lap time limits prior to next weekend's Bahrain GP following chaotic scenes during qualifying in Malaysia.

The problems arose in the dying seconds of Q3 when the majority of drivers were trundling back to the pits in an effort to save fuel having completed their final flying lap.
Some were so slow that the official F1 timing screen read 'stop' creating a dangerous situation with other cars that were still trying to complete their flying lap,
Drivers had to fight their way through the traffic narrowly avoiding slow moving cars, some of whom were in the middle of the racing line.

Debacle

The debacle resulted in both McLaren drivers being penalised for holding up Nick Heidfeld and prompted calls for qualifying to be changed before there was an accident.
The FIA are expected to announce new rules within the next few days with time limits imposed, likely to be 120 percent of a normal lap time, to stop drivers returning to the pits too slowly.
A FIA spokesman said: "The matter is under discussion and our clarification to the teams and drivers will be that cars returning to the pits having completed their flying lap or laps will be required to do so within a time that we will set.
"This could be approximately 120% of the 'normal' time as we do to prevent drivers going very slowly to the grid to save fuel."
