Quote from jasonmatthews :Date changed to July 24th, hopefully this is OK.

Just looking through and saw this. This is Round 5 of IGTC so unless you plan on running the SR and meh cars from your house this may cause trouble.

Quote from dadge :if you search, you'll find that there is nothing in this thread that has not been talked about before. hense my post. but you've probs searched for yourself....haven't you?

Couldn't be bothered, but then I'm not the one who made this thread. I looked at the threads you linked to and saw they weren't really relevant to this specific suggestion. Also I can say that I *haven't* made a few threads because of that feature, so maybe that makes you happy.

Quote from dadge :another thing that would be really good is if the forum was to show you similar threads when you create your own. this way you should see less clone threads.
or if there was a search feature so that people could search for these threads before creating a clone.
a better demo
S2 Demo?

Neither of those are really what's being suggested here. The first one is an ex-demo'er begging for the XRT or FZ50 and the second one is suggesting that the demo is actually full-S2 but only for a month.

Both of those ideas are daft for different reasons, the idea in this thread is well... theoretically better but there's no real point. People will just create a new account and continue demo'ing.

Quote from SAxor :however he got mashed off the track and into the gravel by a very slow but swerving International Team CAPO in their FZR.

Oh, it was you guys they hit in the penultimate corner? For some reason I thought it was EER and that caused a lot of confusion when I talked to them about it.

I'm sure you'll do better in the last two races (maybe not FE3 though, we'll all be destroyed by GraVt).

Quote from matijapkc :Maybe it's his racing name, or team name, but it's 95% that it is stolen.

It looks like he took a pre-existing skin and painted red all over it. Notice the colors at the top of the left side. Not really stealing if I'm right, he just used one skin as a template for another one.

LLWS 2010 Round 6: We Take the Lead
FOX at Blackwood GP for 1 hour | February 12, 2010

This race was a very important one for the squad. After it was all said and done we were finally ahead of Concept Racing in the team championship. Simon Murphy, the drivers championship leader, qualified 7th, Randy Young 12th, Travis Mehlinger 15th and Spencer Rose a low 22nd. In the race we all climbed up, some more than others. Simon finished 4th, Randy and Travis finished 7th and 8th, and Spencer 15th.

Our main rivals, CR, had a very poor race by contrast, with Roger Salama finishing 17th and Reint-Jan Hoiting and Adam Pettigrew both DNFing. This allowed us to jump from a 9 point deficit to a 26 point lead going into the final race of the season.

Simon Murphy leads the championship with a 47 point advantage over closest rival Adam Pettigrew. To quote Jonathan Palmer, "Simon Murphy only needs to set a qualifying lap of any time to clinch the title and not earn an DQ. If Murphy does not attend or gets a DQ, Adam Pettigrew must win."

Bring on the Kyoto 200!!

GTAL 2010 Round 4: Our First Podium!
GT2 Class at Westhill International Reverse for 6 hours | February 27th, 2010

This was also a quite important race for us, but we only knew this after it was finished! After some rather poor luck at South City with a disconnect on lap 9 right after a safety car, we put a lot of effort into this race. Eric Smith did over 1000 laps of practice!

Eric earned 6th place on the grid with a 1:35.01, but was gifted 5th when CoRe's Ken O'Keefe showed up late for the grid, and was yet again gifted 4th when Xcite-LRT-Racing's M. Garbolewski had an unfortunate disconnect before the pace car was pulled in. In Eric's stint he spent much of his time following Sonicrealms and T7R in 2nd to 4th place. He eventually caught T7R towards the end and spun Tommy Østgaard in the first chicane earning us a drive through penalty. Eric handed over the car in 3rd after the pit stops filtered through, though with the DT that would have to be earned back.

New Dimension Racing's Chris Wilkinson inherited the DT after he took over, but only dropped to 5th after the pit stop and DT were complete. Chris joined our squad after doing well in the second test event and realizing how much he missed GTAL. We're quite happy he chose to drive with us as he drove two brilliant stints, handing the car to Travis Mehlinger in 2nd after the pit stops were all sorted.

Travis Mehlinger's stint started out with some brake problems. His brake pedal had uncalibrated itself caused him to drop a few places before he could adapt to his new braking sensitivity. After that trouble our podium dreams looked a bit slim, but some poor luck to other teams put us back up in 3rd. E-Team had a run-in (literally!) with International Team CAPO, and EER had a late disconnect from 2nd.

We finished 3rd! Our first podium in GTAL and a far better result than we had achieved in any of the previous rounds. In the end we led 24 of the 218 laps, with each driver leading at least five laps, never dropped below 6th, and to quote Eric, "It was fun."

Poor luck in GTAL, I had some clashes with Sean in the test event but I felt sorry for him and all of you when I saw what CAPO did to him.

Better luck next time, though I dunno how anyone will do against GraVt at FE3.

Quote from Tomhah :
Lap and Timecode (race time will suffice for protests before official mpr is up) Lap: 39-40(?)
Cars involved: #25 and #24
Brief description of incident: He hit my rear-end making me spin and the tires got many spots, which ment I had to pit earlier.

Eric thought Tommy was staying inside at left hand braking point (under the bridge) but then Tommy moved to the right and Eric moved left. In the confusion Eric missed his braking point.

Quote from yeager :I disagree. If my car was damaged significantly, i'd pit or spectate.

You're not actually disagreeing with him, read his post again. Note the "if" and the statement that follows. You obviously made this thread to start an argument and it's kinda funny to see you claim to disagree with someone who you agreed with in the next sentence.

significant damage = "off pace, slide off line, struggle to keep control and all that"

To be sure, there is truth in your ideal, race close, race fair, that's what makes it so much fun. Of course you forgot a major condition, that you have to have the ability to race close without causing incident. Watching Rudy in iTCC and you'll see the difference between someone who can (Rudy, obviously) and some who can't (well... those who watch know who I mean). It's not OK for people who have crappy car control to try to race wheel to wheel. It'll end in shift+s every time.

I can't say that I've raced you all that often yeager, so for all I know you may be brilliant behind the wheel. There certainly are some people who need to leave more room than what they do, so you do need to look at the other side of the argument. People claiming "leave more room" have a good chance of being in the right you know

Quote from DavidTiger :This program will stop/start the engine every 10 seconds when idle (hardly noticable:nod

I'll just note that when you get to the BF1, don't have this option. The BF1 never "stalls", and doesn't have a starter motor.

Also memory editing seems very... iffy. Obviously you're not doing anything wrong with it but I'm not really sure how good of an idea this is.

Quote from hyntty :Sorry, what I should have said was "it is stupid to have separate codes for regions of one country." England/Scotland/Wales was only an example. ISO is the same as FIFA in that sense.

I see. Well to be honest maybe you should let the members of these special case countries decide which they want to represent. By that I mean take the opinions of the British as more important than people who this doesn't affect. USA/USA/USA here so it makes no difference to me.
