I agree with the comments about saving time and we always planned on making things a lot more streamlined for the full season. As well as seeing how much interest there would be in such a league the other idea of this warm up was to iron out these type of things before we went into the full league.

But please keep the comments coming and any advice is always welcome. We want the final product to be exactly what the community wants and I think by reducing the time between races etc we'll be pretty much there.

I'd like to thank everybody for turning up and must say all in all the drivers standards were great. A huge well done to Ruby for taking all 3 races in such an alien way

ICON Racing is now 6 months old and we are looking to recruit 1 or 2 additional drivers. ICON is purely a racing team... sorry guys no drift, drag or cruise... and we would like to hear from drivers who are interested in being PART of a team and not just in a team.

ICON has enjoyed the last six months and has entered drivers into several leagues including the recent 16hrs of Kyoto and title win for Joe in the RaceSim Formula500. We also run team events every wednesday on our dedicated server supplied by 500servers who also supply our TS server. These events are open to everyone (just a quick plug) and have proven great fun and a good place for the team to meet on a regular basis. In addition we will be launching our own league - RACCAR in early 2009.

Red, these type of report systems are set-up to provide a fair way in which to resolve issues without the need for a slanging match on the track. If the claims against you have been upheld, then I would suggest you look at where YOU went wrong. Take it on the chin like a man and stop trying to explain your errors away. For example, you comments on Monaco are pointless. F1 drivers NEVER Wrong Way Drive and even if they did, thats FIA F1 and this is Formula500 LFS. In entering this league you accept the terms under which it is run.

And just so you are clear on my opinion, your actions on the track are sometimes very close to what COULD be considered deliberate wrecking.

Thomas or ICON TOM as he will now be known, has raced against Joe and myself many times and after joining the tryout session tonight proved himself to be exactly what we are looking for. He makes an excellent first addition to the team and we look forward to seeing him in action wearing ICON colours....

The ICON Racing tryouts are tonight....

The tryouts will be held on our server which will be renamed to:-

ICON Racing - Team Tryouts

The server will be shut down from approx 5pm GMT today and will be restarted at about 6.45pm GMT for the tryouts to start at 7pm GMT.

The format will be as follows:

7pm - 7.30pm Open practice (Joe and myself will also be open to questions).
7.30pm - 8.30pm 4 laps races of AS North.
8.30pm - 9pm Debrief

(Depending on how things go, we may have 1 or 2 races afterwards for which we will take a vote on Track, Car, Laps etc, just for fun)

You will be informed as to which car to use in each race and we will only start a race once everyone is ready. As a reminder, although we are setting this up in race format this event is not about who comes first...

After each race we will give people a chance to chat and ask questions (please DO NOT start asking questions during a race)

During the evening we will be looking at peoples race craft and can only recommend that anyone attending drives within their ability... being the fastest will NOT make Joe or myself go WOW... Showing good control and technic will...

I always get this when I first use the wheel. Full lock left then right sorts it out.

When I plug the momo in the FF makes the wheel very hard to turn, then when I fire up LFS the FF backs off and the wheel become very easy to turn. It's only when I join a race (leave the pits) that the FF starts putting tension against the wheel again.

I definately think this is a calibration issue, but as said before I'm not that technical... I'll take some screenshots of my LFS setting tonight and post. Try copying my settings and we'll all keep our fingers crossed for you.

I use the momo and found that my drivers seemed to go bad on a regular basis...

There should be a couple of folders called logitech (one in program files & one in documents and settings I believe).

The info that I was given was to uninstall wingman, delete everything in those two folder (as long as the wheel is the only logitech device you use) and then reinstall...

As for going straight to full lock, try turning the wheel too full lock in both directions (I also have to push both pedals to full)... Seems to sort that problem out for me...

I'm not the most tech person, but i think you'll find that's the speed between your PC and Router, not your internet speed. If you go into your router admin, you'll be able to see your internet connection speed....

I've been experiencing some problems with what I think is frame rate (not completely sure, technical numpty) after track changes on CTRA. It only seems to effect on certain parts of the track eg on SO1 I usually get the problem between the last and first corner on each lap. However if I leave the server and rejoin problem solved, but this can be quite annoying especially when I come back to "Race is Full"

If anyone can help on this one it would be most appreciated....

Was on for a while last night, was great fun.... Just need to practice LX's a bit more now

CTRA 1 is a great server to learn some racing skills, you'll notice a lot better standard of driving... I'd start putting my pennies aside to get S2 as you get a huge selection of servers offering a variety of different combos to suit your taste.

Maybe he's got "good handling" mixed up with "easy"???? The only way you can compare handling in any sim to real life is if you've driven in race conditions yourself. I take more from the comments of someone who actually races or has raced in real life than a teenager who has never driven a car or has just been sent their provisional by the DVLA.

Getting my nine year old into LFS, so training a new generation of LFSers for when my joints finally give up...
