I see this all the time in my timezone when I'm on.
Just trollers working as a pair to anger others, especially in empty servers. In my team server, I perm them immediately. Which works because they seldom return.

But then in MRc demo it still happens, more often than europe timezone. Plus servers more empty in my time, so they get away with it. And no mod rights to do what Mikke can do, but of course, if it happens I'll forward the usernames to Bish or someone who can take action.

Still remember in AA FBM, two dinguses did that to one user, I banned them, then they migrated to the MRc Track server to do the same, saw in the Master server display, but couldn't go over and I couldn't ban them, plus I'd risk getting banned myself as I'm not L0 lol

Anyway... just demo things... Maybe plant more Bish's and Mikke's? Rofl

In Historic, it is possible defintiely, to reach 218 easily. Get a non-stock setup from someone and try it yourself. With practice 218 is hit every single time.
In BL normal (chicane) I can hit 217 if I get the chicane perfect. So it's nothing that's too impossible, definitely not hacks or exploits.

I can do 1:11s just like most of the top guys. We just about reach 218kph at the end of the backstraight. It's not hacks, it's just good exit off turn 1 and non-default setup gearing.
I've ever hit 218.7 before braking before, based on LFSLazy readings.

Default set up top speed down the back straight is 215 at most. Not unusual. Just get a good setup in-server or through LFS Setup pages.

Personally, I feel that one should not feel obliged to give way immediately. Meaning, LFS shows blues with cars a full second behind. I'll understand that one may not wish to pull over at that first instance and lose something like 3 seconds in the process.

But once the leader comes up to around 3 car lengths, or enough to warrant a pass - then move aside.
Sounds like the most effective solution for both the lapee and the lapper (lol, new word).

However, I have come across several cases when people simply ignore the blues, and refuse to give way, move off line or keep defending the position. In this scenario, I'd recommend everyone have a "blue flag, move" bind for easy use.

If after the bind, the driver still refuses to move, for me (my own take, open to comments, but it's my style, uhm), I normally give a bumper rub, like they do in V8 Supercars. Just enough to unsettle the lapee and make him slide wide. Basically physically moving the lapped car. Only in serious cases, however. And of course, for blockers or race ruiners, I just pit them out of the way, because why not lol.

Hope it's an insight, somehow Rofl

Quote from Mikus1212 :Actually autoclutch is an assist, not manual clutch.

Yes, autoclutch is an assist. And it should be banished (at least, in terms of leagues).
Manual clutch should be everyone's go-to, be it keyboard, mouse, controller or wheel (d'oh).

I'm strongly against any assists, Autoclutch included, but more of "Auto gears". @Mikke one should get to know manual clutch, or at least try. The leagues should not dumb down the competitiveness by increasing the assists for just some people.

There is absolutely 0 excuse for someone to need auto gearing in any racing simulator.
A league or race should set its ground rules before, and never change after. One can not change the regulations to adapt to a handful of drivers. The drivers are those with the ability to learn and adapt, and they should do so. Having assists is a no-no.

Just my two cents.

Don't think I will be able to participate in 2018 season... Darn my timezone (GMT +8)... Races at 4am + in my time, plus college in morning, don't think I can make it..

Race would have to be at at least 1700 or 1800 UTC Shrug

Pity, pumped for the season after no-practice 2nd place in SRT SO2 last week...
will even be getting wheel this month Frown

Contact the developers by sending them an email stating you've run out of unlocks. They will normally grant you a few if your reasoning is ok. Tell them the S2 glitch with the old LFS version and they will accept.

@Wizard
Same thing, email the developers. May be a country thing, I've no idea. Let the devs sort it out Smile

@Bila_KHS

Would next year's calendar be able to slot in some of my custom layouts? Tongue
Would definitely spice things up and give a much needed change from time to time.

All well made, professional and race-specced. Equipped for large grids.

Well received (hopefully!) and held couple of RTFR races and a 9397 race as well. Smile

Just brought the 2017 series to a formal close with a final layout today. Hope the effort goes to good use!

And hope to be racing next yesr alongside you guys.

*Layout updated 17/4/2021

We've come to the point of the year where it's almost time to say goodbye, 2017.
I therefore bring you, the last layout for the year, to close what has been a fantastic rollercoaster 12 months Smile

Thank you everyone for your support for this series, it means a lot. Till the time comes - it's time to say, till we layout again. See you in 2018.

Scawen's Racetrack

A layout that had been featured a long time ago in a online lobby, and crafted by the man himself - I felt it needed to be brought back to life at long last.

Spiced it up a whole lot, pimped it to race-spec, and given it a fresh new look. Rofl
A highly technical track, this circuit requires concentration, or we could end up with another RTFR pileup! (heh)
It may seem easy, but Macau isn't conquered easily either! Go ham in a GTR for an intense Macau-like race, or give the GTis a shot in a big server for some close, thrilling racing.

On a side note..
This may mark the end of this year's layoutting fiesta. Will I be back to let creativity flow again next year? Only time will tell....

Happy Holidays, all.

Cheers

When you download a cracked/ip patched version of LFS, it will show your account on the bottom right in-game as "S2".

But when you go to Multiplayer it only shows demo servers, as your account is "crack and IP patched" so in the actual main server list you're still demo.

Actually buy the game before trying to ask for help for a cracked game. thanks...

Quote from Eclipsed :Yes,it does - check car's weight in pits menu,it will add 70kg when you click "Driver in". Or even turn on suspension view in garage - you'll see how putting driver in car affects parameters.
Well,now you know.
We don't have series fixed cars with variable drivers side - if we would have an actual V8 Supercar in LFS,it would deffinitelly be RHD. Or some euro series car, which would have LHD then.
Talking about placebo - build a small oval in autocross (or use a ready one),set the best possible lap with some light car while sitting in the inner side. Then try to reach that time while sitting in outer side - if you were really good with inner side, you'll never reach the same time with outer side seat.

Hm! That's true. I'm underinformed it seems Tongue

Quote from Eclipsed :No,it's not. Especially for the lighter cars it makes a noticable difference where the 70kg of a driver are located. Generally you want to be on right side on clockwise tracks and left on anti-clockwise,but sometimes you might want to change because of some important turns.
On OP - Blackwood for me still is 100% right side seated track, only the chicane and 2 left turns are better with left side seat.

LFS simulates driver weight? (Not incl passenger)
I didn't know that. Plus, I can't get used to driving on the left side of the car Frown

That's another unnecessary variable for racing for me... you don't see teams swapping driver sides at races... V8 Supercars don't plop Whincup on the left for Sydney and on the right for Bathrust, do they.. :/ I've always been curious whether swapping sides actually does something, or just purely a placebo for the mind to make you go quicker.

Seat position is purely down to preference. I drive right side because my country is right seat.

Doesn't make a huge difference, unless it's comfort and then it affects your driving that way Smile
