I think we should have some options for dual screens. For example, your racing on one screen, while the other shows all your car data ie fuel, tyres, etc.
Think this would be quite a good idea, or even on the second screen have the rear view or something like that.
that is a very good point. Mind you people do have different driving styles, but i have to agree, its a sim so why are you playing it outside your car if you want to get the most out of it??
Yes i agree with some of it, but thats all im going to say.
Also, i do have a pc fast enough to run LFS on max, and i do drive behind the wheel in the cockpit view, just defending some other people who may not have the hardware to do this
red lining a car will not cause it to blow. My Lexus IS200 Auto has sports mode, and when you place your foot to the floor, and it has kicked down, it continues onto 6500RPM and redline is at 6250RPM.
I know this is because the peek power will end @ 6500 RPM, but im just proving that slight redline will not blow your engine.,
Also, a peugeot 306 1.9 TD which i used to own, used to take 5500RPM (red @ 5000RPM) and this is the only way i could clear the emmisions before an MOT without paying, and this didnt blow my engine, it just simply blew all the carbon and crap out from the engine
James F1 is correct. If you want TRC and launch control, go and race on a different game. Just pratice and you will get the hang of it, Launch Control is a thing for NOOBS!!
Maybe the devs could implement a low res cockpit mode - But why should people have to suffer putting there graphics on very low, just to race in the cockpit view. I support your manual / auto view, but think the cockpit view is a little unfair, not just because of the hardware problems for some people, but some people have different driving styles, and why should they have to change to race on some servers (i know about the "fairness" your trying to create)
The card is fine, runs LFS fine only prob is cant run AA or AF in LFS, as it only can attain around 15fps. Apart from that, the card runs around 40 - 70 fps.
Yes, card has a very big heat sink only. Wanted to try some overclocking, but wont do now. Ill wait untill i get a new pc, and make sure i have all the right equipment ie big enough fans
But my Lexus Is200 can do massive burnouts from line. Point is, you can get a 1.2 Clio doing massive wheel spins from line, but it dont spin out. Just go easy on throttle, and use 2nd or 3rd gear!
I think its unfair. i think people should be allowed to chose the view they want. The Auto / Manual option seams quite good thou, as people who want to race auto, they can with a bunch of other people - the forced option thing.
The cam view is unfair in my opinion, but the Auto / Manual force is quite good!
Ive seen Audi's puff out quite a bit, when they try to pull away from you. Its not as bad as the oldish days. (my pug used to blow enless amounts out when it has been used around time)
I think a good diesel would be quite good on LFS, but i think if the devs were to put this in, this would come in S3.
OH also. A TDI car can out preform a Petrol car, but thats because the diesel engine has a turbo. A Petrol turbo engine can way out preform a Diesel turbo.
Clarkson proved this with the new BMW. BMW said it could get around faster than a petrol one, and it failed badly
