Quote from Flame CZE :I know, I use them too, but I have different SO refs, so I want to know if he's using some obligatory refs.

Hmm... ah never mind, I think I didn't download some files :P

Inside of this file, you can found SO Clear day and Coudy Afternoon:

http://files.team-fortitude.net/lynce/South%20City.rar

Inside Clear Day there is two options.

Inside Cloudy Afternoon there is two options.

Option A and B.

The only diference is the objects / buildings They are concrete reflections because in South City does not sense to make generic reflections. That is unrealistic.

I hope this has been solved very well.

Cheers, Martin.

I like option B more for South City, but...

I am a bit confused of the concrete or generic reflections, i don't see a difference... could you give a example on any track/car, where i can see it (best)?

In the first post of this thread there is all the information. Read it with carefully and you will understand it.

Thanks by your words.

I just want the specific reflections for every scene available and the generic ones for the rest.

Thanks to the generosity of Morpha we have the solution in one click.

South City. ATENTION. Clear and Cloudy Day. In Clear Day you have two options A or B. In Cloudy Afternoon you have two options A or B. Any option is nice because the diference are the buildings. The treatment of the light is the same in both options:

Quote from 5tag :That really is a very good looking edit. I'm keen to see your reflections this summer. The only thing I see is not upon your usual quality standards is the ground all over. The direction of blur is and looks so wrong! Otherwise this is very convincing LFS will achieve real looking graphics with slight improvements.

Really I don't understand well some parts of your comment.

Also, I don't know if you know about this thread when you talk about the reflections:

http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=68229

The work is released, even with the video Teaser in youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F93G1FKRC-M

About the pic, on topic._

I agree with you but not at 100%.

I put a lot of effort on the tarmac to make the motion blured. Is very hard to work well there.

Some lines are wrong, correct. Not all lines are wrong, that is the truth. I have, always the same fail. I want work in the light and sometimes I forget to work on the motion blur to make a perfect results. But this is not a excuse, of course.

Another worng place is on the left of the spectator (right of the car). The lines are very strange. of course, next time I will improve it. I promise you

As a reminder, is very hard to work with the motion blur in curves.

Some nice results from my gallery:

Thanks for the comments, to all.

I acknowledge that I do not usually comment on videos, except if I like very much.

As I said at another time, I think you make good videos. I see in you, a lot of effort, making them. That is good also. 5 stars.

This time I voted that I like but I commented that there is much danger of being pigeonhole in these videos or make the same thing.

I tell you, if you can next time and if you like the idea, if is posible to focus in the action of some races. The effort of overtaking, the effort to control the car, the effort to defend the position, etc. Investigate the race and focus the action, and the video, in it. Sure you will make an amazing video.

Cheers, brother.

Quote from brandons48 :Bringing out the big guns, are we?
I Don't think I've competed against you with a serious entry before, Lynce!

This should be a good competition!

However, a small criticism.

The building behind the car, where it is not blurred by motion it is still sharp and the edges look rough. They should be blurred because the camera is focused on the car.
Sorry if i'm wrong, it's a good picture though.

Well, It is very hard for me to explain by my english limitations.

This case is posible. Camera don't turns on its axis and follows the car. The turn is very slow. There are a little of "Fish Eye" in the camera angle(over 40º) so the near part of the building has motion blur and the far side of the building is practically stopped from the point of view of the camera.

If the camera turns or turns fast, the building and some parts of the Rac is blurred. Normally I think in this details when I made a edition. But, because I'm not perfect, the comments are always welcome, more if come from my friends as you.

This pic is not exactly the case but it can helps:

Really is a nice shot, but you are breaking the rules:
  • No renders or old images to be used and NO VOB MODS
The link of the proof:

There are guys who puts a lot of effort in the photomode and they respect the rules. Same conditions for all.

I saw this detail because is my favourite pic from you, although was a "cut and paste" .

In my particular case, OFF.

Thanks for your post. Added to the post number two.

Thanks for the comments again.

@Thezero. This year, probably, I will not work on more textures. The next project is a video Teaser about RP August 28th 2009 (FZ50's textures), and the following is Team VR promotional video.

@ADX.14. Maybe a trouble with your graphic card?. Dds default texture? "Skin"_default.dds corrupted? (From Skins_dds file).

Dear ADX.14,

About the asphalt texture I can found it in the web or I can make from scratch in photoshop. I think it is not difficult, but I'm not sure.

I'm worried about this:

Quote from ADX.14 :

PS: RP caused some graphical mistakes such as revealing rollcages on TV view. Don't know neither it's a bug nor low system specs.

Please, put some screenshots. Thanks for your words as in another moment.

Hi, again, well....

Really, thanks for the comments as usual.

Seriously, I never know if my work will be good before to make it. I prefer be honest always. I have a lot of luck that people enjoys and likes my artworks. Of course I put a lot of effort into it when I work on RPs (even in the documentation periods).

But...I really don't know if I can make decent trees or not. If I can make a decent textures for the asphalts.

I'm professional in the graphic design and marketing.

But in textures am an amateurish. It is a hobby.

Maybe the people have a distorted idea about my work, don't know. This comment is without bad intention. Thanks as always, as usual to all.

@sark /sarker. Nice one. As Firemike sais, good skills.

Anyway, if you want more concrete comments to help you to improve more in image edition you can ask me about your last pic. There are some failures.

@Brandons48. Thank you brother and amazing pics in the current page.

Quote from marsden1002 :Hi All.

Been away for a very long time, and just come back today. All i have noticed is how down hill LFS has gone. There are not so many races any more, or uses of all tracks.

I used to race on a FM server, and even that seams to have gone / no one in it.

Just wondered what everyone elses thoughts were?

Thanks

"LFS is dying?"

The answer is no.

LFS is each part of we. "Lfsforum" everydays is in movement, every minutes. There are new registered users every months. New licensed racers. Every days people is working and enjoying of his passion working on things for LFS.

While we are here, LFS is alive.
