Quote from kiste :Well you all 3 made some nice renders in past but the difference between zafar, gerben and you(leonardo) is that zafar and gerben critizise when it is nessecary and they try to help.

Or if they get some critisim they give a look at this.

But you always post after nearly every render and tell them that the renders are crap cause they have so many mistakes in. Maybe you should do this if it is nessecary and not to all damn renders here.
And if you get some critique give it a chance. it is the same when you make critique on others.

Have to agree with Zafar that you are very arrogant in this casees...

But it´s just my opinion. May you will think about it.

It's your point of view, dude. But in my opinion, for example in bose's renders when I said it was wrong, I told him everything I knew about the mistake to try to help him.

Maybe it's my way of expression that seems arrogant
Sorry

have you ever stoped to see how you comment people renders? so you should take a look at yourself before talking about others.

Quote from bmwe30m3 :leonardo555, People usually post renders here to get comments.

I just told ya that I made it for myself... and that I'll not change anything in my render only because u didn't like it. I'm not saying that u can't comment or anything, I just won't change my render, this is what I said.
anyway, thanks for your comment about my render

vray dirt doesnt do this... take a look at your enviroment then, or turn your gi off

Quote from Bose321 :So here are the skins I teased a little before.

This time with ambient occlusion (thanks r4ptor for the suggestion).

I'm using vraylightmtl with a vraydirt material as override now. This seems to work great, but is there any way I can do this while rendering the final image? I currently render two images and put them together in Photoshop. It's no big deal, but it would be easier.

All I did was the AO now, so I did not fix any other bugs.

Before <> Ambient Occlusion <> After

there is no way to do this in the finall image. anyway, try to put ur light color to white instead of light red when u render the AO in a studio scene.

Quote from Bose321 :No. Again, there is something wrong with either the shadows or who knows what. The wheels are on the ground. Pay attention to what I've said before.

yeh... listen to r4ptor. add some shadows to it in photoshop, make a render pass as shadow and add it in photoshop..

I started working with passes, masks, some lighting techniques and so I did this render to test everything. Here is a "Before and After" of my FZR.
I've changed so many things in my rim so don't care if that one I posted above is bad xD

C&C are welcome

I modeled the Volk G2 but at the end I changed somethings to my taste.

nice one dude, but at the hood, it looks like it is not touching the car.. use FFD and try to make it a little more accurate IMO

I had nothing to do decided to start working with my lovely FZR *-*
I made a difuser for it. I was going to make a spoiler too, but I was tired, so stopped here, and I'm going to make the spoiler later...

I personally loved it...

Quote from r4ptor :Mustangman759: I do not agree. Have a look at my site (signature). I have 495 renders online of which 359 were requested. That's a bunch. Just click on the "request" keyword and you'll see all of them.

If it was common for me to request renders then perhaps I'd deserve a kick in the nuts, but I don't. I offer them for free myself, so I think I'm in perfectly fine position to not only critique, but also to know what I'm talking about - and a render like that doesn't need any degree of "pro-ism" to it, to be better, nor would it need 10h work on it. It's about basic knowledge and Leo does not seem to be acknowledging that but instead places the blame elsewhere even though he's been doing plenty of renders before.

Trouble is Leo expects the software and models to do the job and not him. My point was "it's your job to present the render in a workable way" and this is true everywhere. Lowres, highres, photography (can't get more detailed or real than that - still, not everyone can take good pictures. I wonder why?... Rhetorical question!).

It takes lets say 1/100th of a sec to take a good picture and it will take 1/100th of a sec to take a bad one. Whats the difference? The stuff going on in the photographers mind. Same applies to many things in 3d. It not all about enabling features, effects and whatnot. All good renders depend on the person working on them and less on the software or quality of models/textures/whatever used.

I find it very provocative to say that it would require something like 10 hours - well, if it does then you aren't even qualified to speak out about quality.

If you didn't understand, I was ironic

Quote from Bose321 :Well not exactly. Leo said the reflections are not good because of the low-poly LFS cars and r4ptor tried to explain this is not true.

I think.

What I've been trying to say from the beggining, is that I don't want to spend "10 hours" making a simple render, so don't blame me if the reflections are not good because of the low-poly modeled cars of LFS. This is what I'm trying to explain.
