Yeah, that sucks.
Some of the demo users just use hacks, cause they don't care too much if they get banned. They just make a new demo account (as its free) and move on to the same server.
But as @THE WIZARD DK said, getting a license would solve this.
+ you'd get plenty of fun content and new servers to discover
I don't know what to think about this, some demo users can be really into insim programming and have plenty of knowledge around it. I'm sure this can be tested for a certain period.
S1 users and up would of course have full access to the programmer forum.
But this posting restriction thingy would have to be applied to the entire forum (demo users can still ask about programming in offtopic etc.).
This restriction system now makes it that demo users aren't able to post at all then. I'm gonna give a -1 for this one. Its not gonna work, unless @Victor got a better solution for this.
But what if you're wrong? Djaniko0o could have just been super inactive and just got back after a few years, as much as I want to call out 'crackers' myself, that is up to the mods and devs. Not us as users.
^ UM got it all said. Some discounts would be nice as I've spent £340 so far . Back to the server thing:
I'm a member of the forum, I've hosted several times both on linux and windows. I could help you out if you're still stuck with hosting :-).
Drop me a PM and we'll talk.
You're all wrong, its not dead. But yes, the activity around the servers have been slowing down the past 'few' years. I don't think often about 'what if it all would shut down?'
I'd probably just move on to my other games, LFS is the only car related game I play (other than rocket league ). Point of this post is: Try not to be so negative about it.
LFS External is a good place to start, but once you've learned how to handle packets and have had your fun there. You should upgrade to InSim.NET, LFS External is outdated
I was about to ask you to take this to the improvents sugggestions thread, but idk. I feel like LFS will be moving into stanced mode. But a selection of different rims would be nice to have.
Ovh is pretty cheap for what you get (www.ovh.ie). Using Linux on a server there is recommended, as its much more lighter than Windows. If you decide to rent there and want to use linux, I can help you set it up.
Its been 5 years since this one was released, its time to move on.
DarkKostas made a template of InSimDotNet insim in the InSimDotNet thread if you need something to start with.
I'd say just do it, it really depends how long it could take. If you send it now you should have an answer by the end of today. They're usually pretty quick.
If you have used up all of your unlocks, you can contact LFS Support and explain them what happened. They'll understand.
But if you didn't unlock at all or just 1 time, I'd say go get a new WEB password. To make sure no one else is using your account.
