Didn't see this before, just wanted to congratulate the team for this great work, contribution and support to the LFS community through this 5 years. Special congratulations to Josh and to Ramon, guys I got to know a bit more than other members from spdo.
This kind of great works makes LFS community a better place, great work Lynce, you push it very hard and the passion you put into graphics its awesome.
Awful experience this time... Can't race like this, at a certain point I felt so furious that I was looking to crash someone just to feel better, instead, alt+f4 and let's do something more productive, this is nonsense.
I consider myself and my team mates clean drivers, and expect the same from the drivers I share the track with. Unfortunately can't say that about many drivers today, big dissapointment.
Haven't tested a single lap in the old Fern, but hopefully I will get to drive a few laps looking forward for a good stable set, aiming for 2 podiums finishes
Window mode didn't do it for my system, instead tried the 16bit "fix" and it improved a lot, I'm getting 40 fps while recording now vs. 8 fps while in 32bit.
Anyway the screen looks fuc$#$ greenish, perhaps it can be fixed through any editing soft like Vegas or Premiere.
Which are your rig specs? I have similar issues as Timo with my rig, I do have good FPS in game but recording its a whole diff story.
Im running an AMD64 x2 6000 (stock 3.0ghz) + 2gb 800mhz ram + 8800gt vga, single sata II hd (7200rpm I guess), i hit +180 FPS while playing, but in Fraps at 1440x900 I barely reach 20 FPS
Sorry again about that, I didn't want to bump S.Moore and avoiding this helped a little contact with you + add the little lag, and that gave out this unwanted result.
It's like you get in your everyday car but you just can drive it in 5 streets, and not anywhere else.. (SO, FE, AS, BL, WE, not counting Autopark :tilt
Yes, we still sign in for leagues, we still go online for pick up races and some single events, but the fun many of us found nowadays it's %100 due to the friends we did in LFS through this years. What I'm trying to say is that the game itself hasn't got any single surprising factor since a long long time (speaking in soft/games terms).
Same "buggy" physics but, for instance, a simple rain simulation with (if not much to ask) proper sounds would make the same old LFS (with all it bugs, yes!) a whole new entertaining game (as it was in the beggining when we discovered it).
It would be really though to run around the servers with both races taking place at the same time, managing the IGTC stint is the only real solution, let's hope TBOC keeps running right on time without any delays between series
