control wise I would say something like NFS Porsche Unleashed. Cars are quite easy to drive, good sense of speed and you'll need to use the brakes to get a good lap / run.

Also keep in mind that carbon fiber is just that, a fiber. You generally don't use it as a fiber, but woven as a cloth and in combination with a polymer (and possibly other fibers like kevlar). Epoxy is quite common, but polyester and nylon are also possible. It all depends on the application.

Coming to a dealer near you: The Dodge Panda and Fiat 300c.

I hope it doesn't kill Fiat.

It will work on a "dumb" controller. But take a look at your motherboard first, most mobos have one or more additional BIOS controlled fan headers.
The problem with those 4 pin molex fans is that they don't have an RPM wire, so a fancy controller will think that the fan has stalled.

Quote from Woz :Leaves on the track is enough to shut down the rail network as well remember

That's the downside of modern "comfortable" material. Modern trains are equipped with disk and electrodynamic brakes. Older stuff used brake blocks on the wheel thread. Awfully noisy, and the wheels wore out quite fast. However, it did make the wheel thread very rough, so it had much more grip and it improved electrical conductivity.

Now they throw sandite on the track to make it more grippy, but you can't fit every train with a sandite dispenser.

Quote from hyntty :However I don't like the way some of the features have been made to fit the "easy-to-use" philosophy. For a n00bcake it could be the one but I still don't understand why they have to hide some bits and pieces.

Like what? Under the hood it's just Debian.

BTW, you don't need to install another distribution to get a different graphical interface. It's not a problem to install KDE on Ubuntu, or Gnome on Kubuntu etc. In case of *ubuntu, open the Synaptic package manager and search for Ubuntu-desktop/Kubuntu-desktop/Xubuntu-desktop/Edubuntu-desktop. You can then select the desktop you want at the login screen.
That's one reason why I would reccomend Ubuntu, as far as I know it's the only distro with an active support team for all the major Desktop Environments. Most graphical distributions rely on a single DE, so it's either fully supported Gnome or a generic KDE, or vice versa.

First i go in one of these:

it brings me here. Platform 8 when I go to work.

I get out here (On the other side, actually).

Or here, if the weather sucks (so i can take the bus instead of walking)

Yup, i don't go to work by car. It's basically a door-to-door traffic jam.

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :To prevent that happening you now need all the ownership documentation for the car to get plates printed.

Just get a blank one and order some stickers All the specifications are freely available anyway.

Quote from Dajmin :I was actually quite worried something like that was going to happen to me last night. Headlight fuse went. In the dark. In fog so thick you couldn't see more than 50 feet. Along twisty, unlit B-roads that I'm not familiar with. Awesome.

Thankfully I only needed to do a couple of miles like that before we go back to the streetlights again, but it was a sort of scary experience

How about pulling over and replacing the fuse

Kids nowadays are pathetic....

So basically the problem will solve itself when nobody interferes with the process. Natural selection at its best

Quote from Luke.S :It uses 4 but the recomended processer i 3 core. Basically 1 core is ****ed on the phenom x3

The game uses 3 cores, quadcore machines are stuck at around 75% cpu load in the benchmark. I7 machines (quadcore with hyperthreading) are stuck at around 35 percent.
Quadcores still have a slight advantage though, all background processes can run on the core that isn't used.

I would like to see some more limitations on the setup, but only on stuff that's physically impossible. "Strange" spring and damper ratio's might be silly, but not physically impossible to do. Same goes for tire pressures, silly but not impossible.

As an addition, i would like to see an option on the server to limit the setup options. Something like this:
[ ] Allow ride height adjustments
[ ] Allow spring / damper adjustments
[ ] Allow camber / caster / toe adjustments
[ ] Allow Gearbox adjustments

That way a server can run a "fully stock" race (basically like a cup race), or select some options to allow more freedom of adjustment.
