I didnt say ATI cards were bad, man. Read the post carefully, i said they will fail at something, because thats the experience i had over the years with ATI cards. I owned 4 ATI cards before this new nvidea i have, and all of them disapointed me in something ( being the biggest problem, the lack of decent drivers from AMD/ATI, that makes the card work 100% with everything ).

But i'll give an exemple: my last ATI card was a HD5770, not high end card, but not to shaby also. For a 1Gb DDR5 i expected much more from it. I could run Skyrim with medium graphics, @ 1920x1080 and it was fine. Just as i could run mass effect 3 and a few others on medium setting with good FPS. But GTA4=20fps , TDU2=15fps , APB Reloaded = 25-30fps , Deus-ex=25-30fps .......not acceptable with a card with those specs!!!

The cards themselfs are good, its the drivers that are not!! Thus, making ATI a gambeling choice....thats all i ment in my earlier post

Just a word of advice, dont go for ATI video cards....they are very apealing with the cheap prices and good specs but when its time to perform they always fail at something ( i speak from my own experience ).

Games are developed , most of them, with Nvidea drivers/graphics so you can bet your money that they will perform better on a Nvidea chip. With ATI cards its gambling a bit, the can work wonderfully well on one game, and suck very hard on other game with same requirements ( again, i speak from my own experience ).

I think its something worthy of some consideration.

Hey man, i builded a new PC for me about a month ago, and i spent 760€ on it. Its not a high-end PC , but its managing very well every thing i throw at it with flowing high FPS with all the graphics maxed out

here is the build :

CPU - Intel 2500k @3,3 + coolermaster vent --- more then enough for all the games at the moment
MOBO - MSI Z68A-G45 G3 ( military class 2, they offer 5 years warranty on it )
GPU - MSI Nvidea GTX560Ti - Twin Frozr II/OC ( 1Gb DDR5 )
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2 , 2x4Gb @1600
PSU - OCZ 650W
CASE - Zalman Z9 Series

I know this isnt top notch, but im a very happy dude at the moment!
I run all of this games in 1902x1080, with all the graphics maxed out, with impecable FPS and low temps:
- GTA 4 , Skyrim, TDU2 , FIFA2012, Civilization 5, FSX , etc... so far no bad surprises. Highest temperature reached was 56ºC in the GPU, 47ºC on the CPU

Now, if you take off the PC case wich was about 80€ and the power suply wich was about 70€ , you get a total of 610€ wich is almost 500£

The Squier Jazz Bass I've got at the moment is a much better guitar than the USA Fender Jazz Bass I had in the '90s.

My Squire is from 2005 and it came from those starter kits . Its not that its a bad guitar, the pickups are not awfull, but the guitar falls out of tune very quickely, and thats its biggest problem.
If you try to play something without using the whammy bar, its less bad...... but if you are a Pink Floyd fan like i am, and play those bendy solos, it takes only one bend to make it out of tune!!

But i know i read somewhere that these squires are like the lottery, you can either get a good one just as you can get a bad one. There are no high standards in assembly line . Mine , besides the tuning problem, only one knob works ( the volume )

If you are now starting to learn guitar, the squire is more then enough, but if you keep on going and evolving, you will see it is a piece of crap!! ( no offense! i started myself with a squire too! and i still have it) .
The Amp that comes with the guitar is also crap!

What i recomend to you fellas is dump the amp and connect the guitar to your PC ( the mic entreance ), use the free audio drivers called "ASIO4ALL", they will reduce ALOT any sound lag you may have, and try to find a program called "guitar rig" ( it will emulate any amp, any effect, any soundbox you can think of ) .There are others but i know this one is good. And since you guys play LFS, if you do it with a wheel, you can also use the wheel pedals as guitar/effect pedals! Just need to find a little program to setup the pedals as generic controlers ( i used one called Njoy )

But i will show you some facts about our little corrupted country :

Minimum wage : Greece - 860€
Belgium - 1390€
Portugal - 580€

We have an unempleyd list of about 17% of all population that is above 18 years old( and is only the legal part, the ones above 18 that dont even bother to sign up for job dont show here ). We have about 10 million habitants, and slightly more then 1 million is out of job.....

The government raised taxes on everything, and even the basic food that was with a 7% tax now its 24% ( im talking about the simplest things like bread, milk, etc...). They cutted everyone xmas bonus and summer bonus, and they steal about 24% of our monthly income ( including social security ) but they say we wont have any rights to retirement plan money ( but we still pay it every freaking month ).....

The cost of living here is the same as living in france, food costs the same, clothes cost the same, our gasoline/diesel rised from 0,9€/0.7€ per litre to 1,9€/1,5€ per litre in less then 6 years.

Every company is firing ppl....we are selling debt to everyone in the world, but mostly to the chinese!! ( i fear that, i really do, no offense to chinese ppl ). We are already recieving help from Europe, those money help packs, and 80% of the money goes to pay the debt of PRIVATE bank institutions. Our anuall brute country income goes to those banks too.

Our politicians are corrupt, last month our prime minister bought a mercedes E class brabus worth 180,000€, and they spent a total of 7,5 million updating theyr car fleet ( they renew that every year, and they dont buy renaults or citroens, they always go to BMW's, Mercedes, Audis.....all always top of the line)

I could go on for hours......but i think you got the picture. In short words, the politicians and the banks are sucking all the money in, and making the low/medium class pay the debts of our country. We are sufering...ALOT...yet i dont really understanad how come anyone hasnt killed any minister or bank director yet...i dont understand why we dont go to the streets and cause caos...we just go with the flow and take the punishement quietly......its very sad .

Well perhaps i explained myself in the wrong way . When i said Chemical/Nuclear i meen heavy stuff like as they are bombs to the stomach, very strong drinks. And when i say they are naturaly processed i meen the same, easy on the stomach, naturaly processed by the body, goes in and out without causing much damage.

Well, i found the only way not to have a huge hangover is to be selective in what i drink. Avoid the hard, chemical/nuclear stuff like vodka, tequilla, gins and go for a more natural drinks like red whine, beer and whiskey.

Red wine and wiskey gives me 0 hangover because they are naturaly processed and beer gives me 0 hangover cause i teached my body to take it for many many years . All the rest, specially when mixed with eachother, well...... its tricky.

What the hell S.E.T.H. ? I must admit i didnt read the 4 pages, but i did read the first 2.......

Heres what i think:

For starters, i thing you are talking to soon about a game you dont even own ( yet ), and dont even know to much about it ( yet also ).

Second, you said you played ALOT of racing games, but oddly enough, you just started with LFS a few weeks ago.....LFS exists for a fairly number of years, and if you search for car racing simulator games on google, im pretty sure LFS will be there ( either on a forum or review or whatever ), listed as one of the best.

You ask ppl to be on your side instead of throwing you down, but yet, you seem to talk down to alot of "us", like you know something we dont.....and that tells me, from the start, you have no respect for "our" comunity, or the game it self. So dont ask us to do what you are not willing to do.

LFS is not perfect, and all the other sims around are the same, they all have flaws. Some more, some less. Only you can decide what to play. But, you cant base the hole experience on one simple thing that only you consider a flaw! Specially if there is a way to go around it ( wich there is, and someone already told you that ).

Im not trying to throw you down, im just trying to make you aware that your acusations are unfounded and a bit ignorant. LFS , to me , is the best there is in the racing simulator business, and i have tryed Rfactor, Iracing, GTR ( all of them ), etc etc..... If you take some time to investigate it better, you'll see it has a nice comunity, and that there is a diferent corner for everyone ( i mean theres diferent types of servers for diferent tastes ) , and i bet you that there are a few that enforce cockpit view, and other thing to make it more realistic.

Im sorry if along this thread you came to your senses, but as i told you in the beggining of my post, i didnt read more after the end of second page.

Just stop trolling go racing. If you dont like the "f" key view, dont use it. And if you are trully good, you will beat anyone with or without the "f" view ( wich noone uses by the way, just so you know.....). LFS has been here for years, and for us, the "old" users, there are much more important things to worrie about then a crapy F view. Dont think the developers where waiting for you to come along so they can change the system just for you....grow up.
