I think it is pretty clear. I've always went flat out to the pits when SC is out. That's what they used to do in F1 too. F1 a few years ago is sort of where I think what Thilo wanted the ruleset to follow in terms of racing etiquette.

They also used to penalise you if you lagged back to help your teammate.

I was going to suggest, if the router supported upnp, you could try the mini upnp client. It's awfully handy.
