Excellent, I know what I'm doing for the next few evenings then
Apart from the wee diddy tracks mentioned earlier (AS1, FE1, SO3) I don't see why we shouldn't have the rest in the mix for Race 3 (KY1 is also out for both servers, obviously!)
A bold and well thought out OP, but to be honest I am with the rest of the respondents on this one.
I don't have the time some other racers do (yes I'm jealous ), to dedicate themselves to hauling in the points, but I've had my targets set on Platinum (18% to go) and National A (8% to go) for some time now. The vast majority of my LFS time is spent trying to attain these goals
If the CTRA bods decided I had to return to the starting rung I'd seriously loose the plot :wtf2: and disappear off to GTR land again on another server.
I'm eternally grateful to the CTRA for opening my eyes up to racing in cars other than the GTR's and I'm now a committed TBO and SS fan as well.
A quote from Alien T:
"My goals in CTRA were to reach Platinum and National A, now that I have reached that I no longer race striving for points, this actually make LFS more enjoyable for me as I can race on other servers without thinking I am missing out on CTRA points, if that makes any sense?"
Thats where I want to be, and to be able to go GTR racing on Race 3.
So, nice try, but no cigar
EDIT : Gold and above drivers should be banned from Race 1 imo. Possibly the same with National A and SS1?
A big no to reducing the number of tracks from me. Thats half the fun jumping onto a fresh combo and trying to get up to speed quickly.
Or every so often when a favourite comes up and you can pick up more points than average
1. Set the Logitech profiler to the required degrees
2. Match this in the in-games options
3. Set wheel turn compensation to 0 (or something like that, I'm at work and can't remember the exact name for the slider) found in the in-game options
4. Ta da
How about the A82 from Crianlarich to Fort William, E along Glen Spean to Dalwhinnie then back along the N side of Loch Tay to hook up at Crianlarich again
Ok so its about 50 miles or so........but the roads are class
That was me in the FXO I thought for some reason it was 9 lap race, not the enduro 13 lapper on FE3R.
Managed to complete the next two races before I was randomly disconnected in the middle of my third race. Not to worry, my dinner was ready anyhoo
I also landed 140+ pts for being the first TBO car home, with no yellows. Rather bizzarely on the next race (under so far as I can tell, identical circumstances) I only got 66 pts.
I've not done many enduranace races so I'm not sure how this fairs to the norm, but I was sure grateful for the quick points haul
