I hope yer referring to our caber fetish

It's a craking track to race on, done a few track days there in the past.

Quote from Gnomie :There's your punishment for not using the H-shifter like real men. And now you have no choice!

Lol, only in the SS races for the paddles tho. Full cockpit, h-shifter and manual clutch in the road cars

My previous wheel lasted for c10yrs, so I doubt the damage is attributable to wanton abuse. Although in the heat of the moment you never know........

Cracking piece of kit, but disappointed it hasn't lasted more than 3 months before the left hand (downshift) paddle has stopped working

I've often thought we should map some real roads.

How about the A82 from Crianlarich to Fort William, E along Glen Spean to Dalwhinnie then back along the N side of Loch Tay to hook up at Crianlarich again

Ok so its about 50 miles or so........but the roads are class

Brilliant

So much more entertaining than the F1 dross

Watched the highlights packages Fr-Sun on Eurosport, that man Loeb is untouchable - again.

It will be interesting to see how Sweden goes next......

Quote from Karbine :The FXO already handles horribly.

In the wrong hands, yes it does

What we need is some more new cars, not tweaked versions of current models.

Hello, and soon to be welcomed

Guid to see a fellow countryman joining the ranks.

Could well be the best £24 you ever spent

I'm not sure if it's the same in S1, but with S2 as soon as a new patch is released the next time you try to join a multiplayer game it will ask if you want to DL the new patch and install.

There are no specific time frames for releases. The pretty major patch Y came out just before Xmas, so I wouldn't expect anything too soon!

Why thank you kind Sir.

You are too kind, really. I just don't deserve such praise.

However, just in case you were being sarcastic,

Quote from Rtsbasic :Last book: Red Dwarf - Backwards (Rob Grant)

Hahahahahahaha - brilliant stuff. I've read all the RD books years ago. I know it's a bit of a cliche, but they are better then the TV series (which I own on DVD )

Come to think of it the last 4 books I've read have all been (auto) biographies. Unusual for me!

If it's sciency things you like, I can recommend "In search of the Big Bang" by John Gribbin. In fact most books by him are superb examples of taking obscure or difficult topics and making them readable and interesting to the average punter (eg. ME!)

Quote from thisnameistaken :Ducks are cuter and tastier than cows. Pigs > everything except collies and spaniels, and of course the holy grail of dog breeding: The collie/spaniel cross. A breed potentially so bonkers no-one has dared attempt it yet.

Impossible, it has been proved ducks have no personality and don't like being whistled at, unlike cows.

The bacony bits of pigs are nice, however the animal as a whole is uncalled for. I give you their ability to eat and digest anything as a primary example. They do however, have charachter as a redeeming feature (no, not trying to quote Pulp Fiction )

Dogs and domesticated animals in general require a new thread. However I will agree they are acceptable under certain controlled environments....

I dunno about science, but they are the coolest animals in the world, with ducks a close second

Quote from beefyman666 :Halfway through Clarkson's Don't Stop Me Now. Gotta love how he describes stuff.

My girlfriend got me that for Xmas but not got around to starting it yet.

ATM I am reading an autobiography of one of Scotlands most famous mountaineers.
The Evidence of Things Not Seen - WH Murray.

Fantastic accounts of the golden era of development in Scottish winter climbing plus early explorations of the Himalayan peaks. He has a wonderful turn of phrase and a most philisophical outlook on many matters.

Time, practice and patience my friend. Tis the only way .

Some say start on the easier RW cars to learn their wiles then move up the grades as your ability and confidence grow.

I went for the "500 laps on BL1 with FZR" as my intro to LFS, once you can control that beast and put in consistant times the other cars become pussy cats when you go to try them
