Patched? The latest version is 1.7. If u dont have patches installed, download 1.6 and 1.7 only since 1.6 includes all previous patches.

Damn u kids, u need only enough graphics to understand the enviroment around u. Why do people play runescape and yet dont whine about the 1998 year graphics? Because its about the game itself. More eye candy is good for sure but real gamers cant judge a game over graphics. Visual effects are the last thing u should watch when buying a game.

Go to your local library or go to some book forum (im 100% there is a book enthusiast community out there) and ask for it. In the libraries, as far as i know, most of the workers usually know alot of books and such stuff.

When i moved from Nvidia 8600GT to ATI HD4870 i didnt uninstall nvidia drivers. They were until the end of my OS's days. No conflicts or anything at all, it just sat there, doing nothing. But yea, i wouldnt suggest holding 2 different types of drivers on ur PC. I just forgot to remove mine.

Also, make sure u dont have anything blocking the site. And how does it exactly react when u go to lfsforum. Like, on the lower left side, u see those messages about current activity. Does it get any response from lfsforum at all or it keeps loading stuff?

Check directx version and such stuff, do a diagnosis @ Run>Type"dxdiag".

Also, check for allkinds of .NET framework versions, for some reasons this kind of problem leads me to such thing. What if u try to run LFS X?
