Had a flick through the forum and used the search engine and couldn't yet find a thread on this new WRC title. Possibly because everyone lost hope after the original and simply gave up on it there and then.
Usually I'd not even give a modern racing title, by a company producing a game for a mainstream audience, that claims their game will have accurate physics, a second glance. I will probably end up being disappointed by this one too, I'm just desperate to see something come a little bit closer to challenging Richard Burns Rally, which over 8 years after it's release is incredibly still the king of rally games/sims.
I am somewhat hopeful after reviews have come in rather positive even from a pre-alpha versions of the game. Reportedly they have finally decided to support wheels properly, with proper FFB, which should at least make it feel nicer to drive. The game does look a lot more polished and the physics do look a little better judging by gameplay videos, although admittedly it is hard to judge just by visuals.
Here is a first look by Inside Sim Racing. They seem to be impressed although in the past I have questioned a lot of their opinions and reviews, so I'm personally not taking their word as the gospel on this one. They do still however give an initial impression and show gameplay footage, so it's still an interesting watch nonetheless.

I can imagine a lot of responses in this thread will be negative because of the prequels and because it still won't live up to what Richard Burns Rally, an 8 year old title, still delivers.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This demo is the best racing simulator I've ever played and I am going to pre-order 20 copies because it's that good. As usual it's clearly had a HUGE overhaul from the previous years game and barely anything included is similar, everything is new and refreshing. Great work Codemasters, you've clearly listened to your customers, more of the same please!

Ah watching these videos makes me want to install it again!!
You have a cord attached to you, which attaches to the kill switch. If you get pulled away from driving position the cord pulls out of the kill switch, cutting the engine. Didn't look like that guy had one though.

This is a great sim, however after getting excited thinking they actually had proper Minis in it, not the new BMWs with Mini badges on, I am now disappointed!
I just wish the physics felt more believable and predictable.

Although I do agree with what theirishnoob said, I remember playing Trespasser when I was a little kid and calling it Arm Simulator 1998 did make me laugh! Just keep at it. I would suggest keeping vids shorter and full of funny bits edited out of longer videos that are narrated with funny commentary to keep viewers interested, a bit like PewDiePie. Then again that wouldn't really make it a conventional "Let's play", more like a funny montage. But that goes back to what theirishnoob said about breaking the mold and doing something a bit different. I'm far from level:expert, but that's my 2p.
As funny as I found this post, I believe the Solstice is in fact RWD, which also makes me laugh thinking about you rage-quitting after you slam the throttle thinking it's FWD and will straighten out, only for you to leave the track backwards in a cloud of smoke.
Probably after trying and it not working. Apologies for not having the wisdom to know of every detail within the entire internet.
