Have you posted the wrong link? I just see a broken picture link which leads to an advert for a cat?

Yes you can set it up and run it using the standard windows drivers, there is a guide on how to setup pads here http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Game_pads

Although to use the wireless xbox pad you need the usb receiver/adapter

You could also use mouse to steer with, a few people do, me included.

XBCD was a driver that enabled you to have the triggers as separate axis for throttle and brake as the stock Microsoft ones have them combined. It also allowed you to tweak the settings of the pad.

It never worked on the wireless controller only the wired one and as far as I can remember only works on windows upto XP.

Quote from Racer X NZ :Here's the real story on Top Gear's trip to Australia. That is, here's the damage bill that was never announced on the program.

However, Autoevolution.com reported the damage to the Bentley was so severe that it lost 50 per cent of its value.....

Not particularly, I'm just suggesting that these cars are actually completely impractical in real world conditions.

Of course the cars are going to get hammered and of course they are completely impractical for driving across the outback, it is just the usual daft Top Gear challenge done for the comedy. They weren't trying to sell a GTR or Bentley as the best vehicle for rounding up cattle Wink All three companies no doubt expected their cars to be trashed however what it would have cost to put the press cars right is tiny in comparison to the cost of getting your car that much airtime on one of the worlds most popular Car programs.

You have activated S2 blet, you can see under your username on the left of your post you are now s2 licensed :

S2 licensed

You need to open LFS and click unlock or Demo licence (cant remember what it says) in the bottom right of the main menu and enter your username and GAME password to unlock S2 in game

Shame to see Cargame go, certainly lasted well although I doubt it will be the end of LFS.. A quick search of CTRA shows some very similar looking posts although it was 6 years ago lol, taken from the first page of the first thread I found

"wtf CTRA gone?? Was the only racing servers that I went on.. Ah shit, end of lfs for me.."

"without ctra LFS become cruising and Demo players world."

Quote from Dygear :Rule out bad RAM, run MemTest86 to be sure it's not a fault there. It sounds to me like a RAM issue. I had something similar with my computer no to long ago. Good news is, if they are Corsair sticks you can RMA them as they are covered for life.

Thanks Dygear, ran that and no errors at all. Have just completely reinstalled a fresh LFS and then tried G3 again and it seems to be working fine now.. Guess something was just bugged when I patched my old install?

Re booted, swapped back to G3 again and it is still giving me that crash then starting up fine.

ETA : No app specific settings in my graphics driver, only on the laptop at the moment which specs if it helps are :GeForce 410m, I5-2450M, 6gb ram running Win 7 64 bit. Not the best but never had a problem with lfs before

To be fair Edge... The VAT is not something they can do when they want, it is something that has to be done by law. I'm pretty sure the Devs would much sooner have been working on the sim rather than sorting out VAT.

Is there a valve/screw on the bottom of the shocks (where the the wheel attaches) if so undo that to allow air in so you can then lift the dampers back up

Can't see them stopping you using a GoPro, it does say on the faq page you are free to take pics, also make sure you don't bin it! This is also on the same page

"in the event of a mishap, there’s a maximum excess payment of £5,000"

Why would the Devs want to get involved with Steam? The way things are run now is simple, no other parties involved so everything goes direct to them and they have full control over how things are run.

Sure Steam "could" bring in more users but I can't see it making a huge difference in numbers, anyone remotely interested in online sims/racing will no doubt know of LFS along with all the other sims, they don't need Steam to highlight them.
