Getting there, however can you (or anyone else kind enough to help) tell me what the two logos are on the doors, under the american flag just cant work out what they are
As the title says for some reason the /W commands don't seem to be working, tried in a couple of servers and nothing, anyone else having this problem or know whats causing it
Edit: not sure if this is the right place, I guess its a problem with lfsworld hence why i posted it here, feel free to move it.
Sorry but your point makes no sense what so ever, the current development is mainly the the new tyre physics, once these are finished how can they become obsolete, if they are made to be as accurate as possible now then hopefully they should not need any reworking in the future, which I guess is why it's taking so long, if they get a near perfect tyre model finished and working then future development can be focused on other things.
The "tiny dev team" have done a good job so far in that LFS is still one of the most realistic racing sim on the market, sure it would be nice to have updates on a regular basis but they have always stated that they work at their own pace and in their own way, I don't see a problem with that, at the end of the day most people have been (and still are) racing S2 for several years for just a one off small licence fee, if you want constant updates and content then go pay for it at iRacing
You can delete your LFS account on the main LFS site but I don't think it deletes your forum account, you can't usually delete them as it would mess up all the old threads due too all the missing posts from deleted accounts.
check the username carefully as some of the people that do this tend to just replace the letter o with a zero, add punctuation marks to the name etc. Meaning they have several username's that look the same.
As Greybull said take a note (and a replay) of the trouble makers and notify the servers admin so they can extend the bans.
The only rules that are actually written in black and white are :
4) Any "mods" - modifications to the Live for Speed exe, must be discussed with a moderator before being released on the forum. If a mod is approved by a moderator, it may then be released in the appropriate section of the forum. Please do not contact a developer as we do not support mods and do not have the time to deal with them. Any mods which change the shape of a car model, or which allow online cheating or circumvent HLVC, will be rejected.
as the others have posted, editing textures, pictures (start menu, pit selection screens, trackside adverts etc) and also any of the sound files (engine, tyre and impact noise etc) are all allowed to be "legally" edited.
Edit: to answer your question, tyre side walls, skins, steering wheels are all fine to edit. Basically if you can find the mod in a supported section on this forum then its allowed
I think that you are correct in that s3 would need more content than just rockingham and 1 more car, the vws is as previously posted by Scawen to be available to s1 and 2 users so would not be classed as part of s3.
Whatever the current situation I really cannot see the devs just giving up on LFS, I would say its more the fact that Scawen wants everything to as close to perfect as he can get it before release. Going by his last few reports/updates the detail and research that are going into the new tyre physics is extremely complicated. This is obviously going to take a massive amount of time to perfect and implement into LFS. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
It does get a little flustrating not having any updates (both patch wise and not hearing how its progressing) but that said there is still plenty of life left in LFS as it currently stands, given the current release has remained untouched for quite some time now I would still say that it's up there with the best of the other sim's.
Staggering the start for different classes is surely going to make things worse, especially if you do it for each class, this would mean the gtr's are already 15 seconds ahead of the tbo class, which means (especially on the shorter tracks) they will catch up the back of the grid for lapping quicker than usual, also it gives less time for the back markers to break apart meaning when the faster cars come to lapping they will have to deal with a whole pack of tbo's
oh sorry i thought by the way you worded it you didn't know what a .dds was, most of it is the same as all the tyre surfaces are in that file and he has only changed the bf1 tyres.
Its the file type that lfs uses for all the car/track textures, all the hi res addons you see posted in here are remade higher res versions of the existing lfs .dds texture files. Just save it in lfs\data\dds and the file attached in the first post will change the tyre surface texture on the bf1.
Just remember to backup your original dds files before doing so, so you can put the original back if you dont like it.
Unfortunately as Flame said you do get a lot of problems in demo servers, try going to a few servers that are regularly moderated and you should get some clean racing, as for your setups try going to www.setupgrid.net or http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu/ and download some of the sets uploaded there, make sure to save them to your LFS\Data\Setup folder
