One of the servers I used to race on (The GDC) had something similar implied via a custom insim, well the ballast side of things, although I assume if you can check ballast individually you can with restrictions also? The server had a ballast penalty system for driver errors. The insim would only let people join if they had the correct amount of ballast designated to them from the previous race/s.
I would guess the reason "nothing else is guaranteed" is they don't want to repeat what happened with Rockingham and Sirocco, If they say two more tracks coming or whatever people will keep bringing it up over and over stating they where expecting more tracks/cars until they get released.
Simplest way is say nothing is coming and no one can complain. I have every confidence there will be more content but I understand why they would phrase it like that
Agreed Rony^^ Seriously I haven't see one person complaining they have been ripped off, only you thinking we all have lol. It's £12 and if it helps keep the development going I'm happy to pay it however long any future updates take.
Agreed Ant, should be good. Chris Evans always seems to do well whether you like him or not, plus I see rumour has it he's got Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris and Coulthard signed up to present it with him.
Thanks for the update Scavier, I don't see it as £12 for one track, sure it may be a while before we get any more content but so what, we've waited long enough before and if Scavier need a boost in funds to keep developing this sim then I'll gladly pay it, I've certainly had way more than my £24.00 use from it over it the years.
Racer X, seriously give it a **** break for once, half (being very generous) of what you post is not related in anyway to any topic you post in, it is just mindless drivel you seem to post once you get on a roll.
If you have nothing intelligent or relevant to post then please just stop posting...
Pretty sad that a thread started for condolences to the innocent people caught up in the Paris attacks has turned into nothing more than arguing and conspiracies in less then a page.. Show some respect ffs.
It's a one off payment, you pay for S1 or S2 and get an unlock code, you don't need to download anything else either if you already LFS installed for the demo.
Clarkson had a 30% share in the company that made Top Gear, he sold his share (and obviously the rights to the program) back the BBC a couple of years ago.
3. Unlock Rules and Regulations
3.1 You may install S1 or S2 on 2 computers for your own use or to race a friend on a Local Network.
3.2 You will initially be able to unlock LFS S2 or later versions 3 times. This allows you to unlock on two computers and keep one spare unlock.
Just go on any of the good clean demo servers (AA as mentioned are great) and ask on there if anyone can send you a setup to try. You may get a few idiots on demo servers but you also get plenty more who will help you.
Another thing you might want to try is if you upload a replay of a couple of laps of your driving on here you may get a lot more detailed advice as people can then see exactly what you are doing and point you in right direction on how to help correct things.
Good luck and the main thing keep practising, remember some of the guys you mention in your first post have over 10,000 laps on that combo. Speed and consistency will come
We had a 2007 A4 2.0tdi Estate, kept it for just over 3 years and covered around 40,000 miles in it. The only fault it had in that time was a faulty sensor. It was a great all round car, nice interior, quick enough for what it is and pretty good on fuel too. Go take one for a test drive
He mentioned in another thread that he had his username changed / s2 transferred. you can see his old name shows as S2 and his new one as Demo in the thread : https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/1885293#post1885293
The insurance is here in the UK Timo, I just tried putting an e36 316 through one of the insurance comparison sites, used the details of an 18 year old student & new driver in a low crime area... cheapest quote £2,500.00, highest quote £8,300, 96 out of ~130 companies wouldn't even give a quote.
Edit seems £2500 is not too bad re reading the opening post.. Crazy
