Quote from JO53PHS :Best £100 ever spent

*shitty powerline adapters*

Before (crappy WiFi network that was too far away)

*so shit it makes my eyes bleed*

After

*still shit*

Bear in mind I'm only paying for 8mbps... it's still fairly slow but not excruciatingly slow.

You could also just grab a 20m of RJ45 for $10.

2.2/2.4 GHz MacBook Pro 15": S-IPS panel, LED backlight. SWOP certified.

All other MacBook Pro 15": S-IPS panel, CCFL backlight. not SWOP certified because the backlight is too uneven.

MacBook Pro 17": S-IPS panel, CCFL backlight. not SWOP certified because the backlight is too uneven.

Also pretty much every single MacBook Pro starting from 2004, and few other lines of few other manufacturers.

Quote from J@tko :lolwut. There's ~0 hydrogen in the air.

Dumb me, mistook it with nitrogen. :[

That's all cool and stuff but progress is there - energy density of batteries (remember, there weren't LiIon / LiPo / NiMH, not even NiCad) back then was around 20-30 Wh / kg, while modern batteries have 8+ times more.

What you fail to notice is that Robert's electric car has max speed of 7 mph. Modern electric cars can do 400+, if not 800+, miles at that speed.

Also, enjoy this nice documentary movie.

Quote from XCNuse :But I'm pretty damn positive it isn't. If Asus 'started' using it in 2006, then no way this laptop has it.

Well NEC started using it in 1996. ASUS is not the best reference point.

Quote from XCNuse :Well I also have my tv; but .. at any rate, any monitor (not a cheapo one, a brand name at least) will beat out my 5 year old laptop's CCFL powered LCD screen.

Who says your 5 year old laptop's monitor isn't IPS panel? IPS panels appeared back in 1996.
Also, at the moment, CCFL's are superior to LED's.

But, if I were you, I'd squish in extra $125 to replace that TN monitor with a Dell U2211H, though. :3

Quote from Bose321 :Too bad all those features are things none uses on daily basis or can be replaced with simple FireFox add-ons that probably work better.

Exactly.

With Firefox, you have choice (for example, between different RSS readers). With Opera, you don't.

+ it's proprietary crap which nobody cares about (market share in NA - 0.6%)

Bose321, I doubt 2600K is worth those $100 over 2500K on a $800 budget build.

I doubt it's physically possible to squish in a Win7 license in there without changing CPU to a AMD Phenom II X4.
Another option (without Win7 license) could be a Phenom II X4 955 CPU, Hyper 212 Evo cooler (to OC that CPU to 3.8 or higher) and GeForce GTX 560.

Quote from PoVo :Why not just password protect the network?

Cause I bought wi-fi router specifically for making own open network, to help people get access to nets in this 3rd world country?
It's not like I use wireless internet myself.

Um..
you do realize that taking hydrogen from atmosphere would increase "market share" of oxygen in air, which is very bad for humans' health?

Quote from Stefani24 :So please, tell us, where we can find it on Opera.

You can't, cause Opera has no features.

Quote from [RCG]Boosted :maybe because instability and crashes are caused by faulty software?

No, they're not.
Thousands of people butthurted about how Windows XP "crashes every day and needs to be reinstalled on monthly basis" yet my Windows XP install on one of my netbooks is 3 years old and had 0 BSODs.

Why in this you blame the browser, not your hands?

Quote from Velociround :Does anyone know how to find this out on Opera?

By, as Bose321 said, installing a proper browser.

Funny how Jamie doesn't realizes that hydrogen also needs to be made from something.
Need list of anime sites
E.Reiljans
Demo licensed
Hai there.

Anyone here got a list of anime sites, preferably in either
  • AdBlock filter format or
  • (preferred) List that could be imported in Tomato router firmware's "Access Restriction" filter?
Though just domain list would do too, that'd be easy to convert in 2nd one.

This anime cancer is like 80% of my open wifi networks' traffic usage.. :/

PS: List of domains, which top Facebook games need to contact in order to work would be nice, too. I have Zynga / Creara Games blocked, but I suspect that's far not enough.

Quote from Amynue :No it won't. Got it yesterday, played one race, went back to playing WRC 2. Insane was full of win, Insane 2 is full of shit. It doesn't even deserve to be called Insane 2.

After playing it for half a hour, I came to same conclusion. :/

On topic: When I configure my wheel in WRC 2 (it's a Logitech DFGT), menu bugs start to appear - such as, I cannot use "up" arrow on keyboard at all (does nothing), and after configuring accelerator pedal in controller options, menu selection always resets to 1st thing in the list so I cannot even reach other keybinds to configure them. wtf?
