When GT5 looks good, it looks amazing, but equally, when it looks bad, it looks really bad.

Wearing protective gear is fine, I used to wear a two-piece leather set in spring / summer and a Cordura set in autumn / winter, never uncomfortable.

So my assumption was right, I am just a little perplexed at how quickly they go from cold to hot.

They seem to go from blue (cold I assume) to red (hot I assume) and back again, very, very quickly.

Has anyone else paid much attention to the (I assume) tyre heat indicator in the bottom left hand corner?, whats up with that?

Well, if i hadn't been wearing decent boots, I am pretty sure I could have, if not serious damaged it, lost a foot, as it got caught in the back wheel, and the engine was running and still in gear.

Other than that, wasn't too bad, having a head on in the car @50mph hurt more

Re-race events, but its worth noting that racing events with a level much lower than yours will reward you with less XP.

No money or XP is awarded for online racing.

Time of day was set at 2pm. I find it looks the best at this time of the day. GT5's lighting engine makes everything look too dark at other times or just weird.... Noon just looks really flat.

This theme doesn't look as good as the others. The grass is a bit pukey.
The pop up is annoying, and the track is too smooth, and lacking in cambers.

Demo'ed it with a race with Super GT cars in arcade mode. Will have to try it with LMPs. I called it Straight Ring

Its a tyre physics issue IMO, there are some grip issues, you just need to adjust your line and speed to take this into account.

No, the game is the same for all console models.

The "bad graphics" are a combination of different models / textures, as they are of varying quality, plus how proficient the user is at the photo mode controls.
