Quote from DeadWolfBones :So they're penalizing based on the outcome rather than the act?

Yes? Webber drove like a numpty, spun himself around, caused no damage to Maldonado, so he gets no penalty. I guarantee he'd have got one had it affected Pastor's race, just like Massa ended up getting on in India last year.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :I stand corrected! Speed commentators weren't crystal clear on it, I guess. I think it's doubly hilarious that he got penalized for the Grosjean contact, then, considering Webber got a free pass for the same thing.

Webber got a clean pass because it only spun him. Perez took out two cars, neither of which were his own!

Quote from Mackie The Staggie :Barcelona 2-1 Celtic (FT)

Shots (on target) 28(10) - 6(1)
Possession 82% - 18%
Pass Accuracy 93% - 75%

With stats like that, is was only a matter of time.....maybe if Wanyama didn't spend so long on the ground, they could have eased it out.

The amount of times Celtic were a good ball away from a goal on the break was silly. Barca were very very poor and a better team would have beaten them.

Neither of the "big two" Spanish teams look scary so far, it feels like teams are starting to get their own games going v Barca.

Don't be silly. Maldonado might be occasionally daft, but he has brought funds that Williams damn well need and has won them their first race in years. He could have had another podium in Singapore if the car hadn't let him down. Keeping Rubens who had started to lose the battle with Nico at the end of 2010, on a higher salary, was not bright.

Quote from N I K I :
Hulk took his time to get to know with the car, with the team and with F1 generally. Ever since he finished that process of his, his level is consistently higher than di Resta's. And he's far better in wet conditions than di Resta.
The move to Sauber has logic to it, as that team has been on podium 4 times whilst Force India hasn't done better than 4th all year long, baring in mind that we'll basically have the same cars next year. For 2014, let's see if he can take Webber's/Massa's seat so that I can favor him over Vettel/Alonso then.

It was the same for Hulk in 2010, it took him a while to get adjusted. Being out of the cockpit for a year wouldn't have helped. It truly was a laughable decision by Williams to keep Rubens Barrichello for another season and drop a younger more reliable driver.

Quote from N!ghtm@re :Session of Incident Race
MPR Timecode 4:52.53
Lap and Location of Incident Lap 113, around turn 2 or 3 ?
Your Car Number 10
Other Car(s) Involved 37
Brief Description of Incident
#37 swings out to the left (outside) before it suddenly swings right again to hit 10's rear and send it to the gravel.
Watch cockpit view of #37. There was enough room left. Especially because he was on the outside, not inside and still behind #10

With 37 retired there will be no penalty. While I think its more a simple mis-judgement than anything else, it did cost 10 a lot of time stuck in the gravel. If the 37 had finished it would have been penalized.

Quote from IsaacPrice :Session of Incident Race
MPR Timecode ~5:47:20
Lap and Location of Incident Lap restart lap (133) , T1
Your Car Number 04
Other Car(s) Involved 71

71 gets the draft of 04, then with partial overlap outbrakes himself and slides into the side of 04 forcing 04 to lose a lot of speed(and nearly crash into the wall) which subsequently gave 71 the run which allowed him to take the position.

We find this to mostly be a racing incident. Both could give more room.

Quote : Joonas stuff

While we don't condone this kind of driving, no real advantage is gained. So again, no penalty.

Quote from TypeRacing :Session of Incident: Race
MPR Timecode -OR- UTC Time of Incident:
Lap and Location of Incident: lap 108; T1
Your Car Number: 69
Other Car(s) Involved: 18
Brief Description of Incident: #18 gained higher top speed by cutting T1 exit and by this advantage #18 got into #69 draft and passed. I think this pass was unfair.

Session of Incident: Race
MPR Timecode -OR- UTC Time of Incident:
Lap and Location of Incident: lap 131; the corner off the oval
Your Car Number: 69
Other Car(s) Involved: 71, 66 and 08
Brief Description of Incident: #71 halfspun on the SC period, which made me loss 2 places on the SC period...

18 gains an advantage by doing this, but is also helped by 69 making an error that leads 69 to be considerably slower on apex and exit of Turn one. Really this on it's own would probably have been a warning rather than a penalty, the fact that car 18 was ordered to give the position back to car 08 after passing in a similar style the lap before the incident that put them back, leads us to conclude this worthy of a DT time conversion penalty of 15s for car 18. A warning is also given to car 69 for his defensive driving that led to contact on the approach to t4... there is no need OK?

Second one leads to a penalty for dangerous driving under SC to car 71. Although I'm sure we will get the argument about "ooh I was just tyre warming" what 71 did was indefensibly stupid and left a chain reaction where 69 and 08 lost positions, although neither blameless in their actions. DT time conversion of 15s for 71.

It's not just what he did at the World Cup though, in the Netherlands his big trick was to try and injure a player and then go down himself. Not to mention the biting incident............

Not a nice man, and its funny to see Liverpool fans winding themselves up when justice is served and he is criticized/banned. A day is coming soon when he will either bite someone again or lose his head, and then Liverpool fans will finally be unable to defend him.

Quote from BlueFlame :Oh hai Lotus, don't sack my mate Romain plz.

That's all the article is.

Indeed. How can I spin my mates actions into other people's faults. Though to be honest Romain is a fantastic driver, and if he is dropped it would be a damn shame. I don't think he will though, thankfully.
