Say what? The FWD tires will definitely still spin if you redline and drop the clutch. The question isn't if they will spin but what happens when they DO spin. Fast starts like now or slower acceleration.
The update talks about fixes for situations where there should be more grip, but not sutiations where there should be less grip. Are the FWD cars still going to get fast race starts when they spin the tires?
If we ever do get a full undertray aero model, then given the current track meshes and configs which high-speed corners would become the most suceptible to bottoming out in a dangerous manner?
The bars do look a significantly thinner. Compare the two sets against their mountings on the car. Unfortunately it appears the bottom pair is still hanging off the air. Can anyone check for changes to the FXR model? Hmm, does the skin look like it could be more than 1024x768?
With all the Netkar Pro news going around in the past few weeks, maybe the surprise is a Formula XR with the wings&undertray taken off, skinny tires put on and sidepods squashed to make a pseudo-Formula Ford?
I agree. As much as I want it, I don't see it being used much outside of leagues and drift servers(to lessen grip and keep the tires cooler). With rain it'll be the same situation as when people are too focused on their hotlaps and pbs to allow wind. Even some leagues now don't like using wind.
Is this only enabled for the driving views? It works great in cockpit view, but it doesn't seem to reduce details when spectating crowded scenes with the TV camera. The difference is especially noticeable in KY oval.
In single player, there's a place where you can set your difficulty level from Newbie to Pro. The main difference is in how many credits you get for winning a race(More for Pro). Since no one in the racers database has a rank yet, it must be new on LFSWorld. Maybe it'll be a profile option for players to rank themselves according to how experienced they feel they are?
SMS Alerts? I can take them or leave them. I would have rather had the web alerts integrated into LFS so if a friend goes online when I'm in the middle of a race I can get in-game notification. Driving and mobile phones are a bad combination on real roads and on virtual roads as well!
