The XRT Stock Car Cup is an XRT-only stock-car type racing series consisting of 4 oval events and 4 road course events. Formerly known as the StormCup, the series includes the traditional stock car racing features such as Safety Car regulated starts/restarts, Safety Car periods, the "Lucky Dog" rule for lapped cars, and required pit stops.

Events on the Kyoto Ring Oval including the special knock-out formatted All-Star Challenge, two oval events on custom courses at the AutoCross Arena, and road course events highlight the eight event schedule. Colorful skins, exciting drafting battles, and close, hard racing make the XRT Stock Car Cup the definitive stock car racing series in LFS. All events start at 20:00 UTC (15:00 EST).

Victor,

We have an update to the spot currently held by this banner (added per this post):

We would like to change that banner to this one:

...with this link: http://www.lfs-lota.net/index. ... lm_league;sa=series;id=35

Also, in the "League of the Americas" league section, we'd like the following changes made:
1) Please change the section entitled "StormCup" to read "XRT Stock Car Cup" and remove the website listing for that section
2) Add LFS username BigTime as a moderator for that section (if that's possible)

Thanks for your help!

Quote from tenmantaylor :Turn 1 at Aston National (and some other configs) is almost identical to Parabolica at Monza.

This is a good thing, early apexes sort the men from the boys

Not nearly as much as late apexes do like that of Aston National Reverse.

Thanks guys!

I know LOTA has typically held racing series that are more time beneficial to the Western Hemisphere, but we've been working on some plans for a couple stand-alone events that the other half of the world can compete in as well, so we are looking forward to seeing even more of the LFS community racing with us soon!
League of the Americas: Two Years Old!!

Two years ago today, LOTA officially started serving the Western Hemisphere with quality LFS Racing. Two years, fifteen racing seasons, and 110+ league races later, we're still going strong! We've had a lot of help along the way, and we'd like to thank them here:

Server Providers: The team members of Stars & Stripes SimRacing and CoRe Racing for dedicating one server each to LOTA. Thank you!

LOTA League/Series Officials: Over the past two years, these guys have helped to lead LOTA in the right direction: Chris Schletter, Brian Shanahan, Albert Terrahe, Scot Marsh, Chad Seip, Nolan Scott, Kevin Burns, Phil Diaz, David Sirois, and myself. These guys have put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make this thing happen. Thank you guys vey much!

Other Special Recognition: Members of BlackSheep Racing for helping with testing the orignial league idea and administration in the early days; Brian Shanahan for being a server admin many many times; Nolan Scott for all the great movies and for pitching in with server admin duties; Josh Gringas for always entertaining us and for pitching in with server admin duties; Ben Keough and for pitching in with server admin duties; Chris Schletter for all of his work on the RLM and the site outside his regular official duties; Chad Seip for most of the original LOTA logos; Lukasz Kaczmarek for his great GTC race reports, Yannick Martin for his Formula GP2 Challenge podium pics, and many many others! I'm sure I am missing a few so I'm sorry for that, but rest assured that we appreciate your efforts as well!

A very special thank you goes out to those who have donated money to LOTA to help pay for the website hosting and LFS server rentals. You guys are so generous and we really appreciate your help!

Lastly, and certainly most important in my mind, we want to thank each and every driver that has raced with LOTA over the past two years. You guys are why we do this, and when we see things like the upcoming MicroGTR Shootout have it's registration FULL in less than four days, it makes it all worth it!

THANKS FOR RACING WITH LOTA!

I did a test a while back before the latest LOTA FO8 season started, and on an hour long race, I ran LFS Stats against a replay running at 4X speed and one that ran on FFWD with the replay controls. Every bit of data was the same between the two replay speeds.

It was our pleasure to help out with such a unique and very entertaining series! If you need it for next season, let me know!

Congrats to Nolan on his title, to Kasper for his runner-up and preservation of access to bewbs , and to all the race winners!

Quote from Mp3 Astra :I'll blame him as much as I like - any chance of a thrilling championship climax to the series... well... has been replaced with another kind of climax. According to you anyway.

Hey, I just report the facts...that whole climax thing is up to him.

Quote from Mp3 Astra :NOOOO!!! It's the championship decider!!!! WHY????!?!?!?!??!

Kaw can't race because he'll be chasin' bewbs. Can't blame the guy, ya know?

By the way, the server will be setup at around 10AM EST tomorrow.

Quote from birder :I think we all get a bit bored with LFS when there is no changes for months and amonths and months. If the devs did an update every 3 months, however small , it would partly stop this but as it is we have an update every 12 months (ish) and this is too big a gap

In CD we have over 50 Race Team Members and its simple to see when the "Bored of LFS" syndrome kicks in as we dont see some of our members for weeks

A new bit of content and they are all back for a while

One thing is for sure, i have used LFS more than any other game i have tried as the others normally last a month before i get bored.

I think many of us use LFS as its by far the easiest to race online with, and there is always a race to be had without all the waiting about.

Quote from Mp3 Astra :I'm currently only racing for leagues, although I did have a great session on Bump and Jump on Monday. But I have lots of work that I didn't do over the summer, so I'm balancing that, TF2, LFS, sleeping and video making all at the same time.

I agree with both of these posts quite a bit. I've played LFS for 4-1/2 years now, and the longer I play it, the more I have to change my association with it to keep things fresh. League racing, league administration, team stuff, and the occasional bit of pickup racing. I also like to get away and do other gaming like TF2 or COD:UO or DoD:S, or even some old classics like Mafia or even IL2 and FSX. Variety is the key, both on the user side and from the devs, which I think is why there is such interest in that VW Scirocco.
A public apology to T.Hirvonen and spdo Racing

Quote from joshdifabio :I somehow knew that the report was not written by you, Ben, but to read something which seems to have been so disrespectfully and erroneously compiled just makes me sick to the stomach.

I won't mention or blame anyone else, but Lee's ignorance and short-sightedness reflects badly upon your whole team.

Josh,

I want to apologize for the error I made in the report. I never intend to make the reports read as if we are assigning blame with a pro-CoRe tone, so with the error I made along with some bad wording choices, it obviously came out very badly.

I take full responsibility for the error and will take steps for future reports to avoid these kinds of errors. Everyone at CoRe Racing has a ton of respect for Teemu and the whole spdo Racing team and I hope my careless error doesn't damage any team relations we have built via our IGTC competition.

I've corrected the story and posted a retraction statement at the end.

Again, my most sincere apologies,

Lee Baker

Victor,

I noticed that if you click on the information button to show the graph, then again to close, then again to show the graph again, it shows two identical graphs. The more you do this cycle, the more graphs show up.

My replay of my FXR run here.

Race Stats
Lap Times

I personally felt that the FXR could be pretty competitive with 23% instead of 24%.
