actually, polyphony doesn't WANT damage yet. I quote:
"we are not going to add damage to our games until we can do it in a way that is totally authentic"
They actually don't want half assed damage systems like other games
and @ tweeker, WTF, xbox has the WORST of the worst in racing and driving. it's so heavy and grippy, so arcadish, only thing forza cares about is what graphics you can have on your car.
and @hrt and DWB, the topics on the "new" section is not very interesting, that's why i post in old threads and start new ones.
HEY! since when is blocking someone and giving them a hard time to pass illigal?!?!?
I always swerve and make passing impossible for people and i force people to slow down ALL THE TIME.
and when i follow people i try to freak them out by following a line that is right next to them while tailgating.
I dont know about the gtr but an example of a grippy suspension is an unequal double wishbone suspension, where the suspension adjusts the camber as deflection happens during a turn. giving youmaximum grip
i think besides the computer aids, it's already has a grippy suspension. but the gtr is MADE to brake laws of physics, with all those aids, it's almost impossible to lose it around a corner.
yes, sponsors, it's "kinda hard" to "impossible" to raise your own budget for a race car.
but what about team stickers? affiliations, and other memorabilias for your car, kinda like tattoos(group affiliation)
ah, yesh.... i think that people who swap those monster powerhouses into their small cars, sold out. I love 4 bangers, since it sounds so rough when you push it hard. It feels unstable and wild.
I don't get why people would be against diff locking, solid diff is easy to code, and also with a solid axle(not suspension) you get better power transfer, it would be a pain to race an open diff;
enter a corner too fast and you lift the inside wheel thus denying acceleration to wheels.
and i would think it's not so much "removing a feature to the game" as it is putting a restriction on something already there. LSD's are advanced, but locked diffs are the original design for a drive chain, until it was proven to be an inconvenience for daily drivers, then someone invented the differential. but that's a pain to race so someone invented lsd's. closed diffs are NOT BAD!! what are you going to do in LFS, park cars???
ok, but since you used "darifto" as a word for drift, i assumed that you where using mockery, and i don't think that coding in a point system would be necessary, or practical, since it's based on style.
although i think that they should have the CS style spectator thing where the spectators can watch without taking up slots, then have them vote like a figure skating compitition
If stickers are the defining points of a rice car, why not call all major race cars "rice" then?
But BOT, having a Hollywood-style button-activated-nos would be considered cheating. and i think it should not be used. and if there was boost, just make engines stronger and call it "turboed" or "blown"
go to a day of autoX and you will understand my stand on the tire usage... it's rediculous.
but no, they might have a point based "drift session" but that is not going to teach you how to drift in a car.
in a realistic sim, you will have to master several aspects of car control as you do in real life. obviously, you have only heard of drifting from f+f and automatically assume that drifting is ricer shit.
i watch show drifting... kinda, i actually watch wrc and touge more. but seriously, drifting is not as simple as you think, just like how normal people think F1 is just men in carts driving around. and drifting is a type of performance driving, you need to know how to race before you drift, it's not just joyriding one afternoon sliding in snow.
...you might be a red neck if....
you put beer in your cereal...
your dog passes gas and you claim it...
if you have 10 cars that don't work and 1 that's your home...
if your mud flap doubles as your doormat...
