There's quite a few that's been using mouse/kb for a while that can do 1:33-34. Really fast keyboarders "only" are rare, but mousers are more common. Most mousers I would think uses a combination of mouse/kb. Like mouse itself for steering, mouse buttons for throttle/brakes, and keyboard for
upshift/downshift/handbrake and maybe clutch. I would suggest lowering mouse sensitivity and remove acceleration in Windows if using mouse, that will make it more easier to drive with. There's some more hints in the following thread: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=12336
Ok, thanks. Better wait with serious hotlapping until Z is out then.
Isn't that basically what I asked? So no, until patch Z is out you can only upload hotlaps made in pre Y30 patches. When patch Z is released, you might be able to upload post Y30 hotlaps, but not hotlaps made in older versions. But since there can still be some physics changes, best bet is to wait until Z is released before you start hotlapping.
Could be a defective graphics card. I had those random BSODs and the nvport.sys error for a while, until the graphics card decided to give all up and show funny lines on the screen.
I actually find the RB4 a tiny bit slower now. I've been hotlapping FE1r a little in my spare time the last days. With Y my best time is 46.04, and I can pretty easily go under 46.20. With Y30, my best time so far is 46.18, and it's quite harder to do the same splits as in Y.
After doing a fresh install of Y and then upgrading to Y30, I've noticed that the wear markings on the track is missing. Has this something to do with the new graphics options, and is there any way to get them back?
I find it a bit ironic that there's at least two things in iRacing, that was removed in LFS because it was considered not realistic. That is the digital speedometer and throttle blip on downshift. The blip sound when downshifting in the Legend is just awesome!
I'm having some issues with the steering though, can't seem to get the same snappy input as I have in LFS. I struggle with being to late with the steering in corners. And when trying to compensate the inevitable spin comes. There doesn't seem to be any controller fine tuning either, like in LFS.
Received the invite too, but maybe I should wait till tomorrow to install since the download servers must be pretty maxed out now.
A question, is there an option to practice offline before going online? Would be nice to get familiar with the stuff first, instead of going online wrecking everyone.
