For the Norwegians here, tune in to NRK1 in 10 minutes time. There's gonna be a recap of the race, and I think we might see Chris there.

I accidentally started to watch this. Is this rFactor? Looks weird with those front wheels hovering in the air...

One of the commentators sounds like one of those that commentates on LFS streams - Wilko?

Does anyone know of a map of what sections on a track the path checking routine checks for? Because yesterday I did some laps on IHR on KY Long, and I was very careful of not going too much off the track, and if the laps were uploaded to lfsworld, they would most certainly pass the HLVC check. Yet most laps resulted in a "lap not saved cause of path check fail", or something like that. To me this checking seems too strict on some tracks, making it very annoying.

Oh, and you increased the experience points needed to drive the FX2 from 600 to 650 it seems.

Did you remember to connect the 12V on the motherboard?

Sure you can gain by using custom view. You have a better view of the front side of the car, and can go closer to the corners, especially on SO. At least for those skilled with using custom view. I would fail miserably on it though, since for me it looks totally weird.

I'm psychic!! Nah, it was from the 4 Hour Nürburgring Nordschleife race.

Btw. they were leading their class by a good margin until about an hour before the finish, when a bolt came loose between the exhaust and the turbo, causing smoke coming into the cockpit.

Unfortunately they had to retire after the cockpit got filled with smoke.

The computer is overclocked, right? Try with it not overclocked.

The emulators only have basic Android interface, while the HTC mobiles have the Sense UI on top. And having a mobile with Linux is way better than one with Windows.

The Legend, or the Desire if you can stretch the budget. I'm okay with using Windows on my computer, but on my mobile? No way! I have the Tattoo, which doesn't have the greatest screen, but I'm super happy with it.

Should be fixed in 3.8.5 now.

Laptop... I'm pretty sure the air vents and fan is full of dust then. It's a pretty common problem with laptops after a while. Get a can of compressed air, open the covers/keyboard so you can see the fan, then blow air from the outside through the air vents. This will loosen the lint/dust that's stuck to the vents. You might need something to pick up and remove the lints with.

“SP2 also includes a Service Pack Clean-up tool (Compcln.exe), which helps restore the hard disk space by permanently deleting the previous versions of the files (RTM and SP1) that are being serviced by SP2."

Checked your cpu fan for dust lately?
Download and run CCleaner to free up some space.
Also if you're on Vista SP1, you can run vsp1cln in a command prompt to further free some space, or if you're on Vista SP2 run compcln in a command prompt.

Put them in an office and let them work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, like most people in this world does while still managing family and other stuff, and I'm sure things would happen a lot faster. But as we all know that's not the way they want to work, and the reason they went solo. I totally undestand that, and it sure has its upsides, but also some downsides.

Quote from MAGGOT :And with that, Canada has officially earned more gold medals than any other country ever in the winter olympics. Hells yea!

1 gold medal more than what we had as our best. But we still have the most total medals of all time.

Unless you have some special needs, the built-in soundcard should be good enough. I haven't personally had the need for a stand-alone soundcard, so dunno what's good or not. But the Creative one is an ok one I guess.

Quote from Alex_Ward :Would this be any good? http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172655

That would be fine yes.

The ones I listed as an example, would be only £20 more than the mb/cpu you listed. You could also save those £20 by going with a cheaper mb, making the cost excactly the same.

Edit: You also would need DDR3 memory, like these: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/191175 (£20 cheaper than the DDR2 ones you listed )

Going for the newer 1156/1366 motherboards, and an i5/i7 CPU would be my advice.

For example:

My suggestion. CPU is dual-core, but it's the new 32nm one, so it should run fairly cool. It also has a built-in GPU, which could be handy if some problems with the stand alone gfx card occurs. Or you could go for the i5-750 for a tenner more.
