Don't want to sound rough but I think that's a lost case there. He appears to be extremely limited in his mental capabilities, seemingly unable to grasp the mere concept of hilarity. Let's all be more supportive and gently smile at his attempts to post funny videos.
I conducted a bit of testing. Frankly, this is it. The question that countless minds have pondered and discussed at great length - well here is the answer. Be prepared to have your mind blown by something you probably knew anyways, for it has never been seen before.
Or so I guess.
I'd like to use this occasion to thank Eric and Scawen for their tremendous work on this upcoming patch!
So without much further ado, I present you this replay file! Enjoy.
I don't think they have any effect on performance, but they define the collision detection.
AFAIK there are two tweaking programs:
LFS-Tweak can change basic values for all cars (power, torque characteristics, number of cylinders and gears, weight, ...). With Demo cars there are some enhanced options like wheel dimensions, track width, wheel base, turbocharger on/off and boost pressure, rev limit ...). There's also a built-in slick mod, temp lock, increased steering angle and smoke enhancer.
The other program would be NTO (NewTweakOrder), which lets you change almost every aspect you could ask for, no matter which car. You can even setup a launch control and rev bumper, there's also the option for supercharging. The downside is a buggy weight editor and limited choice of wheel/tyre combinations.
There are generally (many) more Demo servers than for licenced content. I'm not a drifter but I think most drift servers allow tweaks. I have cruise servers hidden but drift servers are where the majority of licenced folks hang around from what I can see.
Thanks Dave for your tremendous work! Thanks to the whole cargame staff as well! Very much enjoyed the S1 server, although it wasn't too busy most times.
Oddly silent way to go though, leaves a lot of us guessing for his reasons.
Congratulations to the winners! Very precise driving by pmw
I would still say the paths are invalid, look at the third example of this picture you posted. However the winners are decided and it doesn't matter anymore.
Thank you very much Gutholz for running this event. Very interesting kind of motorsport, too bad I didn't knew of your competition earlier. About the attempts, I guess it would add to the excitement if you only had 3 runs but I very much like the fact that this was an offline-ish competition. For us LFS pilots it's like a flash game that you can just fire up and try to beat the highscore without it interfering with your real life schedule.
