Quote from Intrepid :On a side note McLaren apparently have signed up another karter by the name of Nyck De Vries. Fantastic little driver he's about 2 foot - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ3Pl223M2I

Thats a wicked piece of onboard footage. So nice to have the camera mounted ON the Kart itself in a place where you can see the drivers inputs as well, rather than from the moving helmet (horrible), or on the front bumper (horrible).
Video is amazing !
The kid definately has the right feel of his machinery.
Seemed pretty happy with n2 in Las Vegas

but a lot of drivers are weird about numbers. I can't drive with anything other than 46. I will use 45 or 35 but it just don't feel right without 46. unfortunately Rossi has made it tricky now coz everyone wants 46! lol
Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I always thought they missed an opportunity to be sponsored by Tesco, the advert would have been perfect, just have a Ferrari blast through checkouts and scan at a few million quid.

I always hoped someone would do a gag about that. Place a huge laser price scanner on the starting-lights lattice-work. When a Ferrari whizzes past, the speakers blast out a freaking loud "BLIP", and big electronic signboard flashes up "$15,000,000".
only for HARDCORE f1 fans now and who like a good bet (all the other miserable gits can ignore this post it mentions a kart driver SHOCK HORROR). On mcLaren's website this is mentioned

McLaren Website - "In January 2010 Nick de Vries joined fellow Young Drivers - Oliver Rowland, Oliver Turvey and Alex Alban."

Now I assume Alex Alban refers to Alex Albon - British Junior Karting Champion. If it does they haven't announced it yet. But could be ANOTHER name to the young driver programme. It appears McLaren are heavily investing in young talent atm I actually mentioned Alex not too long ago with a debate with Madcat... there I am again way ahead of the curve lol

heard it here first mofos

Why do the steering movements look like the video is fast forwarded? Is it? cause i can't tell, it looks unreal to me..

Numbers mean jack, if you feel weird over numbers then you should see a specialist. Superstition is a fail of a thing to believe in.

Well, they already have that Marlboro "barcode" anyway.

That's what karting is like. It can be pretty brutal on your body sometimes. Which is why F1 drivers claim that it's so good for keeping your reactions and fitness in check.

Man i drove ordinary karts, but this is just insane The forces and the shaking that is involved.. I honestly thought it was fast forwarded..
This testing ban has been rather good for kart fans Most of the grid have enjoyed geting back to karting for winter training.

The man in the middle is Dino Chiesa. He ran both Rosberg and Hamilton in karts. He now runs other Macca drivers Rowland and de Vries.
lol saw that in autosport love the idea of weather being sh!t becasue it's warm
It looks fake to me anyway.
but they still have the barcodes on their helmets! =D

New Mercedes GP Livery

Tbh I didn't expect the livery to be like that...just brushed metal with a green scratch.
Well, I think the skinning frenzy's about to begin now
well, it looks like it'll be easy to distinguish from the McLarens at least. That's a point in this livery's favor.
Looks shiny, silver, and very Mercedes-Benz.

I'm having difficulty accepting Schumacher in a non-red racing suit, though.
