what kinda braided lines are you getting klutch? The quote i got to have them made locally made me laugh when i found out you can import iso9001 compliant lines (as of 2006, also ADR compliant) from the uk for 1/6th the cost...

$190 for HEL ones, which are ADR approved so no issues with going over the pits with them on.

They're supra ones, but they also suit soarer.

That's the same guy i got mine from. it's about $20 postage, and you have to wait for them to ship, but with the dollar so strong it's still only about $110-120 all up. Where did you get the HEL ones from?

We got them from a local supplier in perth but they had none in stock so they needed to be ordered in.

Lexus model naming is kinda simple and logical

not for me, it just seems like random letters attached to random numbers

Not exactly, but they are difficult to remember, the IS300 and 400 are the same car just a different engine. And also it's the Toyota Altezza, I don't know any of the other Lexus models really I do find that they are random numbers and letters until you know what those letters and numbers stand for you don't know any the wiser. Peugeot numbers are silly too, just say a Peugeot number to someone and it takes them more than 10 seconds to think of the right one and thats before clarifying that it IS the one you have mentioned.

What exactly is the fun in ruining your rear brakes and tyres for a puff of smoke, some annoying noise and a bit of eyeliner on the road?

Don't mean to provoke an argument, that's just really all a burnout is in my eyes, except for the "legitimate" (line locked fronts) pre-heater on the dragstrip

who knows, why do people get enjoyment out of anything?

I've got nothing against anyone doing it, but it's something I've never done in my current (and first RWD) car. It just pains me to think of all the unnecessary load and wear on everything.
I know it's not a rational analogy, but to me it makes as much sense as slapping a pet dog or something that you'd otherwise care very much for, for no real reason.
My brother got an awesome 200SX that had been cared for, and it was his first RWD car too, and he did shit like this all the time if there were any mates in view, and a year down the line it was starting to show the wear.

Not moaning, or holier-than-thou'ing, just don't see the appeal. But then, there's probably lots of things I enjoy that others wouldn't see the appeal in, and they have no right to interfere, so each to their own

But the enjoyment/cost ratio is significantly better IMO.

I'm not denying that a burnout might be enjoyable, but if I'm going to ruin my tyres I just find it much more enjoyable to do it in motion.

The 4wd system surprised me a bit today. I was entering on to a motorway and after the apex I floored the throttle and found myself quite sideways, kept the throttle slammed and applied a bit of opposite lock and exited the corner with a 0-countersteer slide as the car applied torque up front. Felt good, very good.
