Video would probably be even better to get the hype going

It would already be so cool, just to have a terribly buggy, single-player only, test-version.

Just so we could get a taste... :P

This is really compelling stuff that you're working on Scawen. I'm confident it's worth the time it's taking and that it will take simulation racing to the next level!

Best of luck!

When I look at Scawen's dual-monitor setup, it does seem it could be quickly improved by placing one of the bezels behind the other. Thus halving the bezel width.

It looks great tho!

Just great to have seen the process in the testpatch forum. And indeed, like has been said before, it's this attention to detail that makes LFS so great, and promises so much for the future.

Keep it up

Great patch with impressive multi-monitor support!

Hope we can get the realistic pitch and roll as in iRacing and other racing games aswel!

(Already implemented through InSim by Rotareneg HERE!)

I expect it to be the best car the game will have.

Maybe you could even say a next-generation car for LFS. This could induce further development of the other cars already included. More complex suspension modeling and simulation of the electronics should make the cars even more natural to drive.

To be honest I don't play anymore because of lack of time. However I still love to follow this game's progress. It's got something special about it.

Hey nice initiative!

Just had a look and found it very nice to see LFS history put together.

I did notice that the date of Patch Z (February 28, 2009) must be wrong.

I think the insurence companies in GB are really ripping you all off.

I don't believe young people in GB are involved in that many more collisions then the young people here in the Netherlands.

I'm kinda lucky because I'm studying medicine. I can get insurance through a organisation for doctors with special discount for students. Age does not influence the quote and students get an extra 2 years no-claim to total 62,5% discount on full price.

Example Subaru Impreza GT Turbo '99 €478,50 per year, for 21 year old with no previous insurance. After three years without any claims it would be €319

It's just that I have no need for a car now and fuel and road-tax is so expensive. I'd still want one though, just a bit excessive.

Quote from sgt.flippy :I said this before, but apparently there are more people with about the same problem: when I change AA or AF settings, nothing changes, I tried renaming LFS, tried putting my 3D settings to application control, but both settings have no result.

And another problem I saw on the last page: my reflections on the car are gone. It looks like a toy car now. I get shadows on it, and a little bit of reflection, but the color stays pretty flat.

I have had a problem for a while with AF. Changing the setting in LFS has no effect, and changing the setting through the driver also has no effect. AA works as supposed.

I have already removed and reinstalled drivers and have also updated to the latest catalyst a few days ago which hasn't solved the problem. Also a change to a better radeon videocard hasn't solved this problem.

I have just installed Y20 and LFS feels smoother than ever, strange?

Also fps seems a bit higher so I can run more AA and AF. I was running one of the quite recent testpatches before.

Well it's not a speed bump, but what the heck.

There is a 'countryroad' around here with a railroad crossing where the road goes up probably 1 meter and then down, over about 15 meter. Well, If you go about 140-160 there you really get some air probably a couple of meters. Actually you have to align for the jump because there is a slight bend just after the jump! It's terribly irresponsible and scary. I'm more carefull now, I don't want that kind of air anymore.

Great developments! Actually before having to change it manually each time was really putting people off. I'm sure people who are not really into pc's and just use it for gaming would really get fed up.

Should simplify things a lot!

Haha.. I recall people would often say some mods made LFS look like NFS underground.

Would these people have ever thought it would get his far...

He definately delivers useful work with a high standard. I don't know about all his work but I'm especially impressed with his SoftTH. This takes 'modding' to a whole new level. I could imagine corporations developing this type of program with less functionality, more restrictions, less performance, worse quality and asking major fees.

Very nice screens EK! Thank you very much!

Actually I like them so much I have just orderd 5 to be printed at 30x45cm. Going to hang them on the walls at my study. (Yeah I know higher resolution would be better)

Pity I only just saw your latest South city pic, otherwise I would have included that one!
