Here is your screenshot mate.

(I'm using an old CRT, Sony W900. Being powerd by a Radeon 9800Pro. Still getting some nice FPS (V-Sync) at 1600x1000 with 4x AA. Super smooth!)

(No AF as that seems to remove some detail.)

Hmm.. I don't use the profiler.

So I cannot say anything about that.

Quote from AndroidXP :Wheeee, welcome to S2!

Thnx..

Quote from deggis :More powerful FFB? Are you sure you just didn't have lower settings with the previous drivers?

Or does 5.00 really make a difference? I thought it only has a support for G25 and nothing else.

Well.. Why don't you give it a try than.. Maybe more powerfull is not the right way of saying it.. It seems more controlled and more direct. (And maybe slightly more powerfull )
Logitech Gaming Software Version: 5.00.182 (For G25??)

Hi,

I have just tried the latest logitech software version 5.00.182, (Actually for G25 on the logitech website.), with my DFP.

It does seem to make a difference. I noticed a slightly more powerfull FFB. Haven't noticed any disadvantages.

Maybe some people can try it and share there opinion.

(Oh yeah i'm S2 licenced now)

Huh??

You have such a fast PC? So why do you want to upgrade??

I have a very old ATI 9800PRO. I'm running LFS at 1920x1200 with v-sync on at a constant 79Hrz!!! Your card should be many-many times faster than mine...

Thanks for the vid! (First good vid that shows the wheels speed when in 900 degrees mode!)

Makes me want to dump my DFP with 35cm wheel

Quote from daveb948576 :i have heard about these things breaking is that only becasue people abuse them or do they just fall apart in your hands?

When I just got mine I was really careful and didn't dare to force the motor etc by turning hard.

But now I just don't care and I just abuse the damn thing and enjoy it. And I believe it's designed to be driven hard. It's still as good as new.

(I am careful with the pedals though, not pressing hard when allready at 100%)

Optimizing the settings makes a big difference with the DFP.

Put overall FFB in control panel on 100% and nothing else. And adjust force strength in the game.

All other forces on 0% and centering disabled.

Also have the wheels firmware set to 60% (more detailed FFB) with LEFT-PADDLE+SELECT+R3. Left LED should flash once.
(Repeat the button combination and it will flash twice for the standard 100% mode. Have it set to the 60% one!!)
You will have to repeat this procedure each time you start your PC or unplug the wheel.

Try it the wheel will feel a lot looser.

(Higher degree modes will be more usable!)

Yeah at 1.33 the setup is definately not holding you back.

I would stick to one set, the one you're using, until you can drive 1.28-1.29 consistantly. Than get a faster, but more unstable, set from one of the fast drivers. So you can go for the 1.23-1.24

Good luck..!

Thnx, and mail sent back

Oliver, HERE, is a link to the wireing scheme of the DFP's wheel itself. For if you would like to use one of the original leds. I've also attached it for your ease. All credit goes to Hoopstar as also specified on the image itself.

Great quality video.

Only it's a shame the guy is using the wheel in 200 degree mode and with full furn compensation. illepall

What's the whole point in having an ultra-fast 900 degrees wheel then?

Why not use custom view with ofset to the left/right...?

Or you could use two fresnel lenses!

Steve your setup is quite sweet

It were the pots getting dirty.

You won't have that problem with a DFP!
