Actually that IS a clip from the 95 race at Spa...it's easy to tell when you know your car shapes
1994 Williams had a "low nose" as is cleary seen in the Adelaide clip (last race of the season) whereas the Williams in that vid is of a "high nose" configuration that Williams didn't adopt until the 1995 season after it had been so successful on the '94 Benetton
In fact the last top team to run a "low nose" was Ferrari at the start of '96 when Schumi joined them, only for them to change it after a few races of Hill/Villeneuve dominance
Well i'm gonna miss half the weekend, away camping at the V Festival (music festival for you non-UK peeps) but my team-mate (and RL buddy) is gonna look after the Red Dwarf Racing interests for any events that take place
Anyway, surely i'm not the only person who thinks Shumacher should've just let DLR and then possibly Heidfeld go and collect the 3/4 points he would've had? illepall
Well Kev, bit of bad luck and it can all go wrong.....
Before the 3 races at Bahrain i was 6 points behind you, then finished only one of the three races and that was down in 10th after problems, now i'm over 200 points behind ya! Thats how big a swing you can get in the V8's
As for Champ Car...I completed a season on that where I finished 2nd, after losing a 14 point lead in the last race by getting only my 2nd retirement of the season! So I think the sliders play a much bigger part in that than they appear to do in V8's. Although conversely i'm currently 4th in another Champ Car game after 3 retirements half-way through the season...two of them from when in 1st place aswell!
Caught me out in the last Vixen race at Westhill, running in a window and the monitor turned itself off coz the mouse/keyboard hadn't done anything for 15 minutes or so
Really just wondering how people set up their cars (mainly FOX's) for the Kyoto National circuit?
Do you concentrate on low downforce flat-out speed for the oval section, or add more downforce to get through the infield?
Mainly i'm asking as in just under a week i'm supposed to have a Vixen Challenge race on the track and i'm struggling in the 1:42's still
[edit]
Doh wrote Aston National orignally....I really meant Kyoto Nat :homersimp
Any chance of Mod edit on title?
They've stopped now, but I think they kept making them until around 2002 I think.....
Had the other main Chav car around here try and beat my car (96 FTO GR) away from the lights taking my gf home tonight! A late nineties Fiesta, with Fog Lights on (obviously) and a busted headlight. I was stationary at a red, he was just a bit behind me looking to go in the right hand lane (meant for turning, it's a one lane road) to get past me. He was still doing 20-30 not quite alongside me as the lights changed...and was quite a bit further behind about 10 seconds later
MR2 is too expensive to be 'Chav' around here...all the dumbasses are too busy pissing around with Escorts, Astras and Clio's to get something with RWD :pillepall
Then again...I am in essex, could explain a lot.....
LOL I actually pulled out my old IndyCar Racing 1 manual the other day for the section on car setups!
Oh and as tough as it can be sometimes, don't watch other people spin off/run wide/crash in either LFS or real-life racing, as it can be quite easy to follow them
Same as ajp for me, extened music pack in menus but no music while racing (unless you count mum/girlfriend watching eastenders/corrie/big brother in the background)
When i'm in my car....well thats different, although music's not too loud so I can hear my V6 growl
