Hi all,

ICON Racing has become 1 year old....

It has been a very good first year for ICON and none of us can believe how far we have taken the team. This has been capped by the success of the iTCC and a big thank you goes to RacSim Servers, the commentary team and of course all the iTCC drivers...

I'd also like to thank our team members for their dedication throughout the last year and I'm looking forward to what we can achieve in the next 12 months.

ICON Racing sites have now been updated with a complete face lift. This include the iTCC site and ICON TV which broadcasts all ICON and iTCC events live. A chat room has been added to ICON TV (no registration required)

In addition copies of the ICON News writen by Tom Madl can be downloaded via the downloads page including the latest edition which has the interview with LFS devs Eric and Victor.

We have updated the ICON TV site which broadcasts all iTCC events live. The site also gives access to OnDemand replays and now includes a chat room. The chat room requires no registration, just pick any name and login.

RaceSIMs support to our servers (supplied by RaceSIM) and the iTCC has been second to none. I'd like to thank you guys for all your efforts.

I can only say the same as everyone else... Highly recommended...

RACCAR has been put on hold in favour of another project iCON is working on. We'll keep you informed if/when we go live with RACCAR.

We will be releasing a guideline on expected driving standards under SC. Although these won't be set rules for Fern Bay, we will be monitoring things over the 3 races and hope we can see better driving should we need to deploy the SC . After Fern Bay we'll look to put something firmly into the league rules. Just want to make sure the guidelines have the desired effect....

The one thing I would stress is that common sense needs to be applied on SC restarts, we can all easily blame the guy in front, but please consider that under ANY race condition it is your responsibility to ensure you do not hit the driver you are following. When I speak about the guy in front, I'm not speaking specifically about Rudy (there is a protest in place with regards to the second restart), I mean the whole field.

I was also supprised to see people going of track in an attempt to warm their tyres. By all means keep your tyres warm, but do we really need to throw the car around so much for an extra couple of degrees.

As for the bumping and pushing... I'm not going to say the admin team will let dangerous or wreckless driving go without a penalty, infact we will be hard on people that drive stupid. But with regards to LIGHT bumping and pushing "Welcome to Touring Cars".....

The single server format will stand for this season. The standard of driving for the Warm Up event were extremely high and we are keen to keep it that way. With the final slots being filled by the shootout it ensures the best drivers on the day make the final grid and the driving standards are maintained throughout the season. As Deko rightly says it also provides a reward for good performance and dedication.

In addition we do not want to over do the league. Adding additional servers would only dilute the resources available to the league and therefore deduce everybodies experience. We want to provide the community with a great series that is enhanced by the live broadcast which has already proved very successful. Although we would not rule out a second server for future seasons, it is our opinion at this time that ICON would best serve the LFS community by keeping the format as is.

OK, we have gone with BenjiMC's design for the number plates. Only thing I've changed is replaced the font with "Impact" and reduced the size a little to allow for double digits.

The results have now been published on the iTCC Site for last nights warm up event... Guess who landed the most points on the night
