Good luck. My parents owned this car for many years and it was "my" first car since I got my driving license. Good memories. My younger brother called it "Samurai" because it had a sun-roof. Go figure Big grin

Honestly that's a lot of changes for one guy in a few weeks or months at most.

I'm pretty sure Scawen has already explored this option a long time ago.

A small update on the Oculus Rift. I wanted to order the dev kit, but then I realized: What if I get it now and then they release the consumer version around Christmas? So I sent them an email and their reply was that they don't plan to release anything before the end of this year.

So Scawen, you still have some time left

Quote from madmat28 :Just a quick question:
Is the racing on public servers still worthwhile?
Are there enough players online to fill a roster or two?

Haven´t been playing much since my G25 broke.
I thought I´d get a new one as soon as S3 comes out... might pick up one now as well if its worth it.

Man you wouldn't believe it, it's INSANE! Fantastic races all the time with a lot of disciplined drivers, no crashing. Like a breeze.

Wanna buy my G25?

Quote from Chupacabras84 :Well, I feel bad for anyone still using media player...

So what do YOU use for "playing" "media" other than a "media" "player"?

How could we miss it?

Quote from MAGGOT :Fair point. Even compared to the McLaren, though, which is only 3.8, and considerably faster than this segment?

Yes. If I had that kind of money, I wouldn't go below 5 litres and a V8. I like big burbling engines. The high-revving screamers don't do much to me. Not saying they are worse, it's just a matter of taste and I like big engines. Macho bullshit.

Here's a layman's opinion:
You can get the Gallardo kind of power from a 3 litre engine. F1 cars have around 3 litres I think and have even more power if I'm not mistaken.

However...
I wouldn't buy a 3l supercar just because I would look like a joke between other supercar owners.

That it's so raw and straight to the point. No bullshit effects and unnecessary "fancyness". Everything is functional and has a practical purpose.

I would like to know what will the performance impact be with the new tyre model.

Will it simulate tyre friction/flexing on a standing car?

How will it handle tyre on tyre contact with openwheelers?

Will smoke generation/simulation change? GTA IV style smoke will be enough for me

I've watched Unstoppable a few days ago and I liked it. You might point out a few stupid/corny moments but if you just want this movie to take you for a ride and not much more, it's definitely worth it.

Also Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead (2004 remake). Everybody's probably seen it, but it's an entertaining movie nonetheless.

The ten guys (assuming healthy men, no extra fighting skills) will win, but with some casualties. The tiger will however die a slown and painfull death. I don't think a man has enough power to break a tiger's neck. He'd probably be just kicked and beaten to death...slowly. Poor tiger.

Please contribute to your community. I'm especially looking for information that you can't just google, i.e. personal experience, pros and cons, opinions...

LFS - free content-limited demo / S1 license (more cars/tracks) £12 / S2 license (even more cars/tracks) £24
+ development in progress - working on new tyre physics and game content
+ fully compatible with G25 and most other peripherals
+ low system requirements, basic but very functional graphics and sound, fery flexible gfx/audio engine and controls
+ good multiplayer but racing sometimes ruined by idiots and trolls on free demo servers, also most servers are located around EU (high pings from overseas *)
+ quick and easy pickup races
- outdated graphical engine

rFactor 2
+ lots of mods to choose from
- need to have correct mod(s) for different servers

simraceway

Project CARS

Assetto Corsa

iRacing
- difficult quickly pick-up a race *
+ good global multiplayer performance *

I express my appreciation for the devs by not criticising them.
I also thank all the others that do likewise.
