Im a fan of the MRT5 personally. Feels so precise and even if it spins into a wall it usually doesnt take much damage!

Im a firm believer of closing everything down before playing any game. Single player or online :P

And I'm on around 20-30FPS while driving online with no-one around me Think I've only ever seen it go over 30 and touch 40 once.

Any-one got any ideas how I can squeeze more out of it?

I'd say the MRT.

Great brakes, Good speed, amazingly nimble and grips loads through the twisty stuff. Also, Its actually quite tough! Some crashes that would of written off the other cars and the MRT still trudges on with just a lil bit of damaged suspension!

I remember they did a Football worldcup on the PS2 or Xbox. Teams of 2 people representing their country, playing as their country.

Could do a Sim racing version I suppose. But would the public watch it. Thats the point people would make against it and not do it.

I have to say. I do use both Racing and Cruise servers. The LTC one is the one I use for crusing and what ever racing takes my fancy tbh.

The reset used to be good. But I like it in a way now. Like on the Cruise server or a race server and you hit a barrier and find all yoru suspension is fecked. Hit reset and its all fine again. Its un fair yes. But it means my race can continue. I also like the fact people choose not to have it for this reason. You wouldnt have a magic reset button in life so why have it in a game?

Theres just my pov though.

I'm on wireless and dont lag. That I know of anyway. No-ones said I disapear all the time! Lol. My brother on the main PC complains his lags when playing CoD. But mines fine. So Wireless isnt always bad :P

After ages of playing with keyboard I decided I wanted a wheel. So I start saving for a decent one but have a few setbacks so decide it would be better to get a really cheap one and keep saving. As then I still get to use a wheel.

So I bought the cheapest one I could find pretty much. Lol. Probably not my best Idea I know but im saving up for something like a G25 or something. I am now the 'proud' owner of a Speed Link 2 in 1 wheel.

Throttle and Brakes have to go on a combined axis. Im fine with that for now. My paddles and buttons how ever are all linked to the same axis? Huh. My paddles should just be buttons as far as I am aware? And the buttons on the steering wheel either arent recognised or come up as throttle/brake... I have installed the drivers and checked the manual but nothing. Calibrating only asks me to spin the wheel to one lock and back to the middle...

-Edit- It works fine on my PS2.. Even if the wheel is tiny and has a tiny lock to lock lol.

Anyone got any ideas? I dont want to go back to keyboard seeing as I have this lovely thing infront of me. Lol.

Your consistant which is good and nice and smooth aswell. Only things I could see (im not particularly fast or indeed anywhere near good. Im just coming back into LFS) are coming onto turn one you dont use all the the track when coming out of it. You kind of try and stay in the middle of the track, Unless it is a trait of the XRT and is a better way? And coming along the back straight, it kind of turns a little to the right. I 'usually' try and take this from the middle of the track and come in slightly and use it to go upto the turn.

Apart from those 2 small things (and there not exactly much really) it all seems good from me.Try braking a bit later at some corners maybe. T1 I know you can probably stretch a little bit off there.

But once again I must stress I am not good and just sayign what I see and may well be wrong.

I find if I am worried about screwing up a race in S2 (as I am still pertty shocking and very tempremental with how I perform) I head over to demo. That way I can have a little race and a battle and get confidence back and If for some reason you do cock it up. Theres not really much harm lost.

Although, I do find if you crashed by accident in Demo they shout at you and are generally more pissed off.

I think they know what theyre missing tbh :P

Good luck and just get out there. The cruise servers are good for getting a bit of practise with other people around you. Just remember, the other people aer going to be looking out for you aswell.

I did, I took it out of the Zipped file and then double clicked the application and it does it still.

Would trying it on the other PC and then sending the files over to this one (Just one huge LFS folder) work d'ya reckon?

Marvelous... Its the same type of file in a zipped file. Open zipe file. double click the EXE and it goes to that thing again. Why me.

Win Rar and extract says theres no archives there.

Made a new folder and extracted it there and it did the same thing as usual. Rightclick, 7-Zip, Open archive, and it shows the place where it is (EG, If its in the LFS folder it shows all the LFS stuff plus it. If on the desktop it shows the desktop stuff plus it)

I bet its something really stupidly simple and something thats my fault and will make me look really silly after it.

I am selecting the LFS Main folder. Not the exe. Sorry for any confusion.

It always comes up with the same Error message, but depending on where it is. If it is on desktop then the \LFS\ is missed out and desktop is there instead etc.

Hmm? I am useless I suppose lol.

Do I then just add it to the LFS folder and extract I guess?

I havent played for a while. A good while. Now I come back and find I cant connect to the server and I read it could be to do with the patches and the fact the IP has changed. So download teh W Patch and realise I'm still on U. So I download the U to V patch.

Move it to the LFS main folder and double-click and extract it. And it comes up with some Diagnostic error.

Whats the correct way to install it as I have never installed one for LFS. Is there another one I need? Also, the mirrors are weird. Virtually all are hosting Patch W... Only one or 2 have V.

So yeah, How do I install the patches? I want to get online again

I too find the Ai very slow and have done for a while. But something I found amazing was last night messing about on the Oval with loads of laps and For some reason I was miles behind. The AI were getting laptimes that were MUCH faster than mine. Bout 3 seconds. And I had near enough spot on lines. Not enough to loose seconds though.

Lol. I thought it was weird anyway.
