Race statistics / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Coming into this race were 2 impressive streaks - Ardeeé had won 4 races in row, while Botsi won all 3 previous FBM races - one of them had to end for other one to go on. In qualifying the world record holder proved his pace and set the best time, but he overshot the exit of first chicane and went for a trip into greens and greys of the track. Ardeeé used this and pulled away from the rest, led all of the race laps and celebrated a recordbreaking 5th win in row - noone else has done it before in 156 races long event history. He is also 13th racer to have a total of 5 or more RTFR race wins, while his fastest lap of the race is his 7th,also he scored his 8th top5 finish. Botsi finished just over 5 seconds too late to keep his FBM domination alive and had to settle for 2nd place, which is his 15th top5 finish, while the pole position was his 6th. After having his best ever qualifying result,Dzidoris finished also in race in same position - 3rd,which is his 3rd top5 finish. But for the 4th time in event history fastest lap of the race was shared between 2 drivers - Dzidoris set the laptime in lap 12,while Ardeeé just repeated it in final lap, first such achievement for this lithuanian racer,3rd for all lithuanians together. 4th was Yurec, who improved his debuth result from previous race by one position,5th was Rony taking his 59th top5 finish.

RTFR events now takes a break for next tuesday to return in 2 weeks for another normal RTFR event, featuring one of the road going cars, more info as always in weekend before it.

The finnish made real life car Racebout is known being one of the least popular cars in LFS. In RTFR it is at the very bottom of attendance per car chart - this race was no exception as it was the first race in last 19 events with attendance below all time average score. Despite lack of racers, there still was some racing, adding a bit of intrigue to it. Allthough at one aspect the intrigue is starting to fade away - the winning streak of Ardeeé continues as he scored his 6th win in row,9th pole position,8th fastest lap of the race and 9th top5 finish. The one who tried to push for a challenge was defending RAC double winner Y.Laprevotte, but his push overheated his tyres and he lost contact to leader after mid race - still 23rd top5 finish for the 3rd most successful racer in RTFR history as he finished 2nd. Despite a fluke late in race,J.A.Katila saved his 3rd place which is his new best finish result and 5th visit in top5,4th was Rony, collecting his 60th top5 finish, followed by his compatriote A.Rozītis, who improved his previous best result by 1 position.

Let's see if one of the more popular slick tyre cars will atract more racers in 2 weeks, but already next week RTFR will have it's XL version - combination is already known, more information will be posted soon.

The biggest winning streak in RTFR history has ended - the streak owner did not join this race to try extend it,let's see if some one can match or even top it.
Meanwhile racing continues and we have again a somewhat dominating winner - after having a pretty safe gap in qualifying for pole position,Y.Laprevotte never gave up the lead and held his nerves cool during all 47 tight chicanes on his way to victory in yesterday's race, winning also late race hotlapping battle for fastest lap. It was 10th win for the veteran racer racing under flag of Greenland, also he picked up 6th pole position and 5th fastest lap of the race, increasing amount of top5 finishes to 24. R.Kardol finished 2nd,which is his best finishing result out of 4 finishes,3 of them are withing best 5,3rd was Rony collecting up his 61st top5 finish. 4th and last on lead lap was J.A.Katila,6th top5 finish for him,but best of the rest despite pitstop was Magistrat, who finished 5th in his 2nd appearance here, previous one ended with 9th place finish.

Again usual 2 weeks break and RTFR will return in 1st day of august with a street legal car,as always more details in weekend before.

Race statistics / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Despite summer attendance drop, the most popular RTFR car still gained over average interest and race was busy in multiple positions. But there was one who was never really challenged for win - Mikke joined late in qualifying and set pretty soon fastest lap in the session, earning the first pole position for himself. And in race he never saw anyone ahead of him and the 2-time RTFR-XL winner celebrated his first victory also the shorter event version, setting also fastest lap of the race,it was also his 3rd top5 finish. Defending winner Y.Laprevotte found way past 3 higher qualified drivers in the race and finished 2nd,picking up the quarter-century top5 finish,Botsi finished 3rd and increased his top5 finish count to 16. Fast was fast enough for 4th place finish in his debuth race, but J.Pickard closed up top5 - 8 top5 finishes now in previous winner's account.

Again 2 full weeks between RTFR racing actions as RTFR-XL takes an extended break (6 weeks instead of 4),some of the racing cars will be in the racing menu then. More info as usually in the weekend before it,but inbetween I hope to start some movement towards next VERL season, first with poll to decide racing day...

An enjoyable event Big grin swapping places with Rony several times during the race, and Cygnus always just behind, patiently waiting for us to make mistakes. A drag race to the finish line, with me just enough in front to take the place.

Congrats to Mikke on 1st place in everything again.

Despite tricky and nerve-crackling combination, the relatively short 2.1 kilometer custom track was quite crowded. But not for long in race as there were quite few incidents leading to DNFs - only half of the starters managed to complete 50% classification requirement for race results. One of them was leading the whole race from green to chequered - Y.Laprevotte dominated the race by practically constantly pulling away from competition and scored the full package once again. He added to his achievements 11th win,7th pole position,6th fastest lap of the race and 26th top5 finish - with this he is now the 2nd most successful racer of RTFR,pushing A.Wiśniewski back to 3rd position. But the race action does not stop with winning the race - A.Rozītis gained 2 positions from start to finish and finished 2nd today, which is his best ever finish result in RTFR,2nd top5 finish for him,Camoradi completed the podium with his 7th visit in top5. 4th was Rony, collecting another top5 finish for the big list - 62nd already,5th after a pitstop and some catch-up was J.A.Katila - 7th top5 finish for him and new best qualifying position - 3rd.

In 2 weeks some of the street cars will return for racing in normal RTFR,but already next week the XL version will return from slightly longer break and will offer a pretty classic combo - FZR will be raced in the oldest LFS track configuration - Blackwood GP,full details will be posted tomorrow.

Thanks to Nova for this track!
Michal flying across the road and barriers in front of Gegg was funny-ish. Tongue Interesting layout indeed!
Great layout, quite similar to Montreal Big grin

BTW, what setup did you guys use? Mine was based on FE3 or something.

AS2. Heard one fast guy was on SO3R. You can't adjust a lot on this car, so I don't think it matters so much.
