Quote : Microsoft and developer Turn 10 confirmed Forza Motorsport 4 will ship for the Xbox 360 in Fall 2011.

The fourth installment of the series will support Kinect as well as traditional racing controls. Microsoft first announced the title at this past E3.

"We showcased a Kinect-enabled project from Turn 10 Studios at E3 2010, which let players explore and experience their dream cars like never before," a Microsoft spokesperson told IGN."That tech demo demonstrated some of the experiences possible with Kinect and Forza.

"Forza Motorsport 4 brings together genre-defining, controller-based racing and the power and freedom of Kinect to create an automotive experience unlike anything before it."

I'm so glad my housemate next year has a 360
Graphics look good.

To bad Forza follows the path of becoming more and more casual gamer friendly.

So inevitably it will be more sterile and less rewarding.

I have Forza 1, 2 and 3 I will buy 4 to add to the collection but for now Gran Turismo is much better than any Forza Arcadesport.
As far as graphics go, i would say that they cant go much further. They are running out on resources with Xbox360. But meh.

they can go without full HD and lower FPS, and exchange that with better shader details, most of the time it will look better, given XBOX's upscaling capability.
Sweet, can't wait to see how this turns out
Did anyone else notice the Ford GT looks to be at a "Airport"?
it's the topgear test track.
There was a lot of American Top Gear footage in the trailer.

Also, that's not an actually modeled track in the background of the Ford Gt, its just a picture.

A lot of hype and probably soon to be very disappointed fans over FM.net.

rumours of rallying, F1 and weather so on is already out of the roof, but personally not holding my breath about it, just need Turn 10 to not make stupid design choices (cough GT5) and improve the fundamentals, give us a 100 or so more cars, update some Forza2 carried over models and introduce a more meaningful career, that's about it.
All i really want is a day night cycle!

I wouldn't be suprised if they are aiming for rally, f1, weather, and my precious day night cycle, but then only half of it makes it into the game.

yea the FM3 career was ****in silly...
Silly as in boring or doesnt make sense?

I agree that it got boring after couple of levels and just seemed like a "grind" more than anything, but how can you really make it different?

Its a racing game. Thats what you do in a racing career; race.

Anyway, I wouldnt take the trailer seriously either. We got a year to go until it comes out, a lot can still happen and a lot of features/cars dropped.

The way it does it's own weekend thing and it flicks on to a selection of 3 series that you always have scant interest in, the race grid was a good idea, but tedious as there was no structure to it. Silly I say, because they have the weekend race thing and also the race grid.... well why not just have one or the other... preferably race grid because then you choose what races you've done and you know how many you haven't.
i want a career where i start from the bottom racing for teams and move my way up Kinda like toca race driver 3

+1 Pretty much as good as a racing career mode can get. Start from a lowly racing league and a old Winnebago to a million dollar sponsor and equally costing race car.

and throw in some once in a lifetime challenges too, like test out and time trials that has one take only, which allows the truely skilled to skip some intermediate grinding and fast forward their progress.
already?
When F4 comes out it would be little over 2 years since F3 came out. Thats not even counting the inevitable delays that may happen. Not a short time period at all.

Holy shit, now uncharted 3, Forza 4 and Mass effect 3 potentially come out in the same season....I need to employ another me to stay alive.
I think they should spend 4 years developing it just quietly....it worked for GT 5 xD
