That's the thing. I can't remember if I ever have, what I put it too, or how to view it. I haven't been able to find any information about it either. Care to point me in the right direction?
I noticed that with the new patch Z that a great deal of effort has gone into the visual dashboards to make them look really realistic. Mission accomplished!
I, like many others I assume, drive with a Logitech G25. I drive with the driver and wheel model off. (no offense wheel modeler!) The new interiors on the road cars look fantastic. But now with the new dials and interiors the gear indicator looks really out of place.
My request is this. Could we please get the option to turn off the gear indicator? A lot of us have H pattern peripherals which makes the gear indicator redundant for the most part.
We all love Live For Speed. I do as well. It has taught me a great deal about driving.
I'm currently writing a paper about driving simulators in general and their uses. My instructor suggested that I hit up some forums in order to hopefully broaden my view on the subject.
I would love to hear what you believe that LFS, or sims in general, has taught you .
I would also like to hear what you believe the biggest downsides are when using a simulator to improve your driving skill.
Thanks very much for your time everyone. I will be watching this thread like a hawk.
If your also wondering I will probably be demoing LFS for my final presentation and have allready taught my sister to drive manual using LFS.
Your getting no arguments here about that. I fully understand your thinking.
However I taught a friend how to revmatch downshift on his own by holding the lever slightly longer to help make for a smooth change. Hes complained ever since from the new patch as he lost that bit of control over his shifts. I've long since moved to Hpattern and clutch so that problem doesn't occur to me anymore. I liked having more control over my sequencail change. But in the GTR/Open wheeled machines require a very very fast change indeed.
