OK, enough of the Brits-bashing, time for one of the probably most entertaining games to come: Argentina vs. Netherlands tonight. That'll rock. I guess both can beat Portugal and Angola (Yeah, they'll get mexico ), so for them it's just important to look for the "right" way in the tournament tree.

racing dad here. Daughter 4 and son 1. Daughter already drives from time to time (once I put GTR instead of LFS, and she started screaming, didnt like it :P ). Last weekend she accompanied me to the ESL Pro Series Finals in Cologne, visiting my team-mate nils winning his 4th championship and meeting all the other LFS-drivers. She loved to go there (was her second time).

It's funny to see, but the people have a different opinion than the press, and dont jump on their train. That's actually also quite cool.

yeah, but people dont care about that atm. Only one who cares is the press. :P The people know, that Klinsmann will decide, and he will decide right. And I guess both talked a lot about that now, and that will work out in the end. No matter if he plays or not, we'll win.

hehe, no to get back to the point:

The atmosphere here in Frankfurt, where I live, is incredible positive. Everyone's smiling, people walk through town in their teams-jerseys, flags all around, on cars etc. The tension and all positive energy is really really incredible. It is for me the biggest thing ever to be in. And now I go downstairs in the garden and play a bit football with my kids, before we get ready for the game tonight!

OKAY! It's the night before the start, whole germany is nuts, streets will be empty for the first game tomorrow (err today, in less than 18 hours). I just have to share the tension and the feelings I feel and have atm. It's great to be here and to experience this uber-event that touches everyone in germany. The whole atmosphere is positive all over. I put a little flag on my car, driving through town, people that see it, wave at me, smiling, all positive. It will be a crazy and great month coming up!

in several living areas in cities we have a lot of 30 km/h zones (18mph). So I can say: You'll get used to it

well, even in the F08 the NONE full throttle start is significantly faster than the full throttle spinning wheels start.

So the physics is on a good way already. it might not be perfect, but in some of the fast cars it is already better to start with a decent pedal work.

simple point, becky: 1024^2 skin is 4times bigger in filesize as 512^2. That's already quite a lot. And atm it's just a compromise, to suit all people.
