You should update it every lap, not constantly. The value will be changing every lap if you go some long stint. It can be useful in a situation when someone tries to save some fuel to skip a pit stop.
I guess you can supply 2 widgets - one based on the hardcoded data and another from the calculations.
So, during the restart and some time further lapped car doesn't have to leave racing line to facilitate lapper's pass, right? Then lapped car has a chance to create a gap and get rid of LFS'es "Blue flag" message...
Am I getting it right?
And I guess that at any time it is disallowed for lapped car to do any defencive moves in front of lapper's car... I read rules but this stuff is not clear for me somehow
I might have said that already, but IMO it is completely wrong not to do anything with lapped cars during safety car period. You should either let lapped cars pass the field, or lapping cars pass the lapped ones during the safety car period.
There are lots of talented guys around this forum, not saying how much of them gone already. LFS could gain a lot if content development was made more open to enthusiasts, while being supervised by devs. Spending decades on polygons adjusting and textures mapping for decades seems kinda uneffective.
Really disappointing to see that there is so little people mentioned the lack of new posts marker at the subforums'... Really painful to check everything I might be interesting in.
There is one thing I found lost after the migration. When you look at the subforums (inside the Leagues and Events forums for example) being at the main forum page, you can't see which forums have been updated. Is it planned to add this feature?
Am I the only one struggling with this problem? If not, then I create thread in Bugs section...
I have 30 slots left, trying to upload a skin gives no visible response to me. Only some status bar message from firefox like "sending request" and "waiting response" and that's all.
I did it easily... Just update team(s) every time app starts (or optionally when user wants) and store it in separate list(s) in your database. That way when someone leaves or joins a team user doesn't bother maintaining the list.
There are also couple of requests...
Currently split times (which replace original ones in LFS) look kinda unreadable sometimes -- either shadow or a background button would be much appreciated (probably configurable).
Also u can add a sound notify + colored line highlight in history window when someone mentiones your nickname and game is not on the foreground.
I was disappointed that there was no "lapped cars may pass". If you do not allow us to unlap ourselves, then let us go to the back of the grid. Otherwise there is a lot more danger and confusion on track when restart happens.
Most likely Scawen is working on fixes for OR DK2 patch (and on implementation of some more tricks to make it better, like some anti-blur and stuff), so we must wait a bit for now.
