Quote from AMB :Sam, your probably right, it's a lot harder for me to keep making accounts, but the enjoyment i get out of doing it is priceless and maybe I have problems because it's immature and other people may not enjoy it/find it funny but I am my own person whether annoying/immature or whatever else you want to call me

and a question, how do you punish someone who has nothing to lose ?

ban me ingame ? oops you already did that.

and btw..i'm not Matthew.. my best friend is.

[moar spam]

Yep, devs were right. That permaban was well deserved

By the way, moderators are doing an awesome work. Go to the page - spam's there. Refresh - it's already gone

Actually he's just proven us we can do that.

Awesome skin and car mods

Well, after messing with ENBSeries settings, I think it's not possible to make an playable SSAO and Indirect lighting effect (even looking terrible it's not playable at higher than 1024x768 resolutions). So, I don't care about playability anymore, what really matters is to take nice screenshots! Here we go...

Last two pics are a comparison:

That's very, very weird.
But since you two have that much RAM, there's a great fix for the problem:

Create a commandline.txt file on C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\
Edit the text file and put -availablevidmem 2.2 on it. Save the file and open the game. This command will force the game to use some of your RAM as video memory and will allow you both to choose high textures.
The number is a multiplier: it'll multiply your current video memory. In this case, 500 . 2.2 = about 1100MB of video memory. You can set it to higher values, but I keep in mind the game also needs your RAM to store information, so you shouldn't use all of your RAM as video memory.

It works now, thanks.
I was trying to run tasklist straight from the start button search instead of opening cmd, that's why it was closing.

Quote from hazaky :In the news, there was told that we are gettin 27c in few days. Dont know, its just massive. I dont like very hot weather.

Velociround: WTF ... Thats not winter at all

Winter is like that here.
We don't have snow. We've only got two seasons per year: "Winter" and Summer. The other ones just don't exist.
Summer on my state is max 36°C min 28°C. Winter is just like summer but with lower temperatures, and it starts all of a sudden: max 26°C min 16°C. But it's very difficult to get any temperatures lower than 20°C, so you can disregard the 16°C forecast for winter. Specially because this night the minimum temperature was 23°C.

Current temperature: 12:32pm, 26°C.

Quote from Shadowww :40-60°C inside PC

Haha
46-30°C inside mine.

I don't quite get it, but if you're asking for what I'm thinking, this is an easier way to find out the service's memory usage:

or..

(the Resource Monitor shows very detailed information)

I tried using this command you mentioned but it just didn't work for me - a command box opens and then closes all of a sudden. I can see the services are there, but it closes so fast I can't check any of them.

tasklist /svc also doesn't work.

Winter's just started for us brazilians
I really like cold temperatures (25°C or less). The place I lived before was just about this temperature all day long, and about 20°C at night, almost 0 humidity. It was awesome, I loved it. Now I'm living on the beach, very high humidity all the time and 32°C on summer

But it's winter now so there's no problem anymore 2am, 23°C at the moment.

It's a render, and it could look much better if the guy who made it had put textures on all cars, as well as putting pedestrians and used some texture filtering. By the way, there are some repeated textures, and some incorrect ones as well. Just like an adboard which has building windows textures. It's not bad, though. Looks good

I'm not really into this discussion, but I do judge people on by the way they write, because it's the main way to judge someone on the internet, just like first impressions. I judge the person if he or she's using foul language, proper grammar, commas and period, capital letters and if they write the words correctly, as well as using paragraphs.

I think I should give an example:

when i read a point made by sbd who writes liek this i just dont giv a shit about his opinion and most times i jus don tread it cuz it seems that the person doenst care about what hes saing and he doesnt bother to explain it correctly so if he doesnt care about writing why should i care about reading it
(Just like earmelon was doing.. I skipped most of his posts, even though they seemed to be quite funny )

Now, when I see a point by someone who writes like this, I'll certainly read it.

No, nobody needs to be perfect, and I'm not the grammar police, but if one wants to communicate, he should at least try doing it in a way everyone can read without struggling to find out what he wanted to say.

(And, as I've, already, seen some people, do, you also, don't need, to use, too, much commas.)

dadge, it's not like writing without capital letters (but using all other punctuation etc) makes it more difficult to comprehend. It just makes reading it slower, and makes me want read it very quickly so I can get faster to the next post (which hopefully will have correct writing), or simply skip it.
If I don't shorten words or skip punctuation in my own language, why would I do this in English? Actually, I'm much more careful about what I write in English than Portuguese.

Besides, making use of no punctuation, proper grammar, commas or full stops at all and shortening words, will only make one look like a absolutely illiterate person who, actually, CAN'T speak.

500MB of wasted HDD space. Graphics are not good, physics are weird and arcadish (I can play "Pro" mode with no aid on the keyboard and still win most difficult AI), and I won't even try the multiplayer mode, because I think this game's bored me.

LFS graphics are much better than this game's...

You don't need to go to any preferences options on Windows 7, just click on the icon you want to hide, hold the mouse button and throw it anywhere else. If you move it to anywhere above the taskbar, it'll be automatically hidden (on the up arrow (aka "horrible triangle")). You can also move icons around to change the place they are on the screen, etc. Just click and move, like most things on W7.

I don't think it's possible to completely hide them (i.e.: no up arrow) though.

Quote from [RCG]Boosted :cant be it either...
ive tried to set everything to the lowest and yet i can still not high quality.

GTA IV also limits by ammount of RAM. If you have 1GB RAM, it won't let you choose High textures. If you have 2GB RAM, you'll be able to choose High textures. I don't know about 1,5GB RAM or variations of this because I only tested with 1GB and 2GB. I have a 9800GT 512MB, and when I remove one of my two 1GB RAM sticks it doesn't let me use High textures. When I put it back, GTA IV lets me choose High textures.
If it's not that, I don't know what else it could be.

Quote from Luke.S :strange cause mine lets me run on high with a 512mb 9800gt

It doesn't limit by memory, it limits by ammount of already used memory. One can set textures to high as long as the other graphical options aren't taking too much memory already, i.e. there is enough free memory for higher textures.

Quote from arco :Check in your bios if there's an option to enable/disable it. If not, see if there's a newer bios for your mb that supports it.

My MOBO doesn't have any virtualization options, and I'm using the latest (non-beta) bios version currently available (F9). The latest beta one is F10 or something, but I don't know if it'll change anything.

My mobo is GA-G31M-S2L if I'm not mistaken.

I've checked a list of processors with hardware virtualization and mine is included on the list (E5200), so I can only understand it has indeed virtualization. However, when I installed that intel thingy to check wether the processor has or not virtualization, it said mine didn't have it. Uh-hu
I downloaded Virtual Windows XP anyway and installed it, everything went fine except that I can't use it Uhmm

What can I do? My processor was supposed to have virtualization, that's very weird.

Do you know Habib's? It's like a fast food restaurant. A "bibsfiha" is a sfiha from Habib's (it's not like I have chosen this name anyway)
http://www.projetosinteligente ... cno/imagens/54HABIBS5.jpg

They have those on several different types.... e.g. on the picture above, respectively (up, bottom left, bottom right): meat sfiha, chicken sfiha and cheese sfiha.

I don't quite like it (not my favorite choice of food anyway) but I don't mind eating it like one sfiha every 3 months or more.
