Wellll, I can go to the garage and shed fuel and leave them running and they'll keep a full tank. That's not quite what I was after but I guess it works for now. My original reason for the post was I'd like to be able to setup a practice session server where there's always a few bots running, so people could join and leave the practice at their leisure and always have some sort of competition on the track. (without restarting the session) Hopefully AI pitting will be addressed before too long, but I'm not complaining at all - just somthing that would be neat..

But I don't want max fuel myself and I'm guessing I couldn't "trick" them into keeping a full tank while I go shed some? Guess I'll try that now.
AI/bots..

Is there any way to get the AI cars to pit before they run out of gas? Also, what about the amount of fuel they carry at the beginning of the race. I'm pretty sure I don't have it set for AI to use my setup, though they always seem to only have a mostly empty tank at race start..

Quote from al heeley :What did you have for dinner? It obviously did the trick. Fish maybe. Brain food.

Little Caesar's - hope it didn't have any fish in it! :ices_rofl

Na, it was a car-skin issue. Need to make a helmet though..

...of course I just tried it again after eating some dinner, and I guess it works fine now. wierd, oh well, at least it's working now right! thanks for the suggestion and quick response though.

Nope, that's not it. First thing I did was make sure I didn't have any previous copies lieing around, renamed the one I had, and re-uploaded it..
[Solved] Skin Not found on lfsworld.net

What I alwasy get when I join/host a room with my latest skin, though it's definetely uploaded through my LFS desktop, and viewable there. Is there a turnaround time on skin uploads or anything like that, or is there somthing else I'm missing here?

No, but I just re-calibrated in the game and the problem dissapeared, haha. Thanks. I must have been messing with that late one night and not noticed I'd screwed it up. Oh well, maybe someday somebody else will come along and find this thread useful after a search or somthing. Should be easier to drive now!

I'm sure I'll eventually have a PS3 and GT HD. As far as console "simulated racing", while GT has plenty of flaws, I still consider it top dog. Of course I said console, not PC driving simulation.. I didn't know about the PS3 being Blueray though, and am unsure what to think about that this early in that ballgame.
Joystick setup/steering..

I've been around awhile but I fear this too much of a noob-type question to post it elsewhere, haha. I only get to play in spurts, often not playing for a few months, then comming back to the game for a little while and dissapearing again. Anyways, I'm back on it and realized today that no matter what in-game set I adjust, no matter what I do with out-of-game stick calibration etc, I get full lock of the wheels when I only push the stick about half of it's travel in one direction. For the record, this is with a MS Feedback2 stick, and with the wheel-lock for an XRG set on max. (38 degrees I want to say) Is there any way to utilize more of the stick's range of motion for steering or is this just a limitation of driving with a joystick? Hopefully I'll snag me a GT4 wheel over the winter, but until then..

What he meant was more realistic for the class of car I was asking about, hence the quotes on the word.. The XRG is a 140hp street car thrown on a track. You don't tend to see paintjobs as expensive as that Renown one would be, on a car of that caliber. Not one that's any more than a trailor queen anyways.

All that aside, the original creator of the skin made an XRG version upon request, and I've been customizing it to suit my specific real-life "sponsors", while driving the wonderful paint Vain made for me. Here's a snap of what I've got so far with "my" Renown skin.. (thanks Zed28)

That would be the one I mentioned seeing for the FZ, or can I use it in the XR's as well? I was looking for one for an XR..

Digging up kind of an old post here I know, but I decided to make sure "Throttle/Brake Center Reduction" did what I thought it did. (this was the only thread found in my title search) I dunno if this would work in the case of pedals, as I'm working with a joystick here, but between adjusting the center reduction AND fiddling with the dead zones within the actual stick software, I was able to somewhat achieve what I think you are looking for - or maybe not, but it feels like it is.

Hmm, just ran into one, but it doesn't look anywhere as good as the FZR one I saw, wonder if the texture model in the XR is just lower quality. Anywho, nevermind these posts I suppose, lol.

Sorry, it's late and it is somewhat of a skin request? I guess not though, haha. (interior skin? )
carbon fiber interior, XRG..

I saw a beautiful carbon fiber interior for I think the FZR. I don't have the time to mess with learing DDS stuff for awhile, anybody care to make one for the XRG? or could the textures from the FZR be easily adapted etc?

What step am I missing between "add new adjustment layer" and "stroke"? (or where would I find stroke maybe) Thanks for the pointers!

You got it, and you're right, "fuel tank lid" may yield better search results, here included. Being a lazy American, I hadn't thought of that terminology to search it by.
Gas Cap "Decal"?
Tinytacohead
S2 licensed
I put this in my recent post too, but was wondering if anybody has some decent gas-cap graphics? I've seen one reallly nice one on somebodies XRR skin, though can't really grab it and use it.. I think one of the things obviously still lacking in this game is attention to small details like that, which help make the cars look more realistic.

Thanks!
need help outlining letters..

I'm sure this is a n00b type question but I'm at a loss here, and never have proclaimed myself an expert with Photoshop and the like. I've got the TOYO TIRES "decal", it's in black and I need a white outline on each of the letters. For graphics programs I've got Photshop7 and crappy old MS Paint. Would anybody mind lending a hand, even if just to point me in the best way to do it, not necessarily do it for me.. Thanks in advance for any help, I guess I should have payed more attention in graphic arts class @ college.. Ooh, and I'm also looking for a good gas-cap that's not too hard to implement onto any color etc.
