The third CL20 grid qualifying runs from Mon 13.04.2015 22:00:00 UTC until Fri 24.04.2015 21:59:59 UTC with the FZ50 and RAC at Westhill International reversed.
Every participant has 10 laps on this combo to set a fast time. The GridQuali-server aren't server for training and every lap driven too much will be penalized as written in the rules at the end of the GQ.
A lap counts with passing the first split. You are able to cancel a lap before the first split without debiting your lap account.
You can check your driven laps both in the tracker and ingame after leaving the pitlane. If something is wrong or problems occur it's your responsibility to tell us via PM or write a post in the related thread immediately.
Because the GridQuali is an official part of the season please drive with your starting number and ingame-name according to the rules.
There is no duty to participate in the GQ, but laptimes naturally increase the chances of a place in a (highest possible) grid.
We are always trying to applicate new sign-ins as fast as possible into the tracker (e.g.). However, this is a purely manual process and can't always be done immediately. Even if your name is not appearing in the Tracker, you can drive laps right after sign-in as they are recorded in any case, even without displaying in the tracker. This follows then as soon as we have added you into it.
Before CityLiga moves foreward to new soil and to a new GridQualifying, we see the start of the second half of the season with a 63 point lead in the championship for 01 - CoRe C. Winkler. Although others climbed up the podium he scored more points then his main opponents. But five more races are infront of the competitiors and things can be turned upside down, starting with the Formula BMW, probably the oldest car in Live for Speed, at the old Fern Bay Gold track.
The race coverage starts tonight at 18:15 UTC Simrace.TV Channel 1.
Fern Bay Gold (FE3)
Dusk Overcast (3), no wind (0)
Formula BMW (FBM)
lap qualification of 1 lap, drivers are called up
race of 52 laps
The oldest car at the oldest-seeming track venue. The Formula BMW at Fern Bay Gold.
It all starts with a lap-limited qualfying session, in which every driver is called in by the race admin one after another. A quick out-lap and two consecutive hot-laps follow the call. With the end of the second timed lap, the driver must join the spectator mode. Excessive tirewarming is prohibited during the out-lap and penalties, for crossing the yellow pit-exit blend line i.e., have to be served immediately.
The race follows and is scheduled for 52 laps, starting after a lag lap.
As usual, the pitlane exit blend line has to be respected and every driver may rejoin the race once, until the leading driver begins the third lap of the race. Also, if you are unable to attend the race, please withdraw from the race via the CL-status script until April 15th, 2015 18:30 UTC.
The race takes place in Live for Speed Version 0.6H. So our servers are also up to that version.
The CityLiga Server are now running on 0.6H, so the most recent version. Moreover the calendar stays as it was announced, concerning a potential change of the order of the combos of rounds 7 and 8.
How long are the sign-ups open? Or stay they open until the end? Sadly I already cannot do the first two ones, so I'd like to wait until closer to the events.
I'm not NDR nor do I speak for NDR. But not having the 'know-how' or 'experience' are no excuses :P There is always a point where someone without experience starts doing something and gains it while doing it.
It's been a spectacular event with the FO8 in South City, resulting in the first CL20 win for 53 - v\N.Morvai and a second place finish for 85 - HoR Schuhti, after a late tyre puncture by 71 - [WCL] A.Valta, providing both drivers a boost in the championship. The gap has been shortened to 33 and 60 points.
We now move on to Blackwood, which also has seen an update in the past. In a 50 lap race on the reverse Grand Prix circuit, we look out for the best LX drivers in the league to tackle the race win. Tracker times already suggest a battle 93 - CoRe L.Kovács vs. 82 - [TC-R] Pete.
But, quoting German football coach Alfred „Adi“ Preißler, "Grey is all theorie - what matters is on the pitch". Or in our case, the track. Due to summer time in central Europe, the race coverage starts tonight at 18:15 UTC Simrace.TV Channel 1.
2 shot qualification of 15 minutes
race over 50 laps
The fifth race of the season takes place at Blackwood Grand Prix reversed with the LX4 and low wind.
The qualifying session is a 15-minute 2-shot qualifying: Every driver may drive up to two timed laps within the time window. These laps MAY NOT be consecutive ones.
The race follows and is scheduled for 50 laps, starting after a lag lap.
As usual, the pitlane exit blend line has to be respected and every driver may rejoin the race once, until the leading driver begins the third lap of the race. Also, if you are unable to attend the race, please withdraw from the race via the CL-status script until April 1st, 2015 18:30 UTC.
In a new procedure, race admins are now reviewing the first two laps of the race and will, if necessary, protest situations.
Furthermore the following things are important:
1st: We entered summer time/daylight saving time on March 29th 2015! So the Briefing for the race starts at 18:15 UTC (20:15 Central European Summer Time).
2nd: The race takes place in Live for Speed Version 0.6G (or compatible). So our servers are also up to that version. If you update to G14+, please keep a copy of your data.
You might have read about it on cityliga.de but I forgot to share it here.
This shall not heat up speculations, we don't know more then you do. With the new patch, there shall be changes, because of which we have to check through all our programs to test their compability. So in cotrast to the rules, we are dealing with the situation in the following way:
Of course all compatible versions to 0.6G can be used. We don't know what to expect and what comes, so we cannot guerantee to update our systems right after the patch, especially since GridQualifying 3 takes place at Westhill.
As result of the second GridQualifying, Grid 1 is filled completely. While the Top 10 in the championship standings were safe, everyone else had to qualify into it. So did familiar faces, like 64 - S M.Kapal or 11 - EM.Marcel. But the grid also features fast newcomers: 71 - [WCL] A.Valta and 2014 Nissan GT Academy Germany winner 54 - Marc Gassner already showed a strong pace, being together with 94 - P.Kubinji the only drivers to surpass the 1:06.00 barrier.
We can expect an interesting and spectacular race tonight, with the live coverage starting at 19:15 UTC on Simrace.TV Channel 1.
