Quote from Eclipsed :Of course it's easy to see what is actually happening when sort by date is clicked, but still the section feels too littered. Shrug

Maybe it is worth to suggest, that the automatic sorting, that shows up when you actually click the page, should be by date rather then by alphabet.

Another thing, the "latest" news shown on the general league page is not the latest news the league has posted. Announcing CityLiga 21 and being approved already, the news shown still ist about CityLiga 19 and from Fri 12 Sep 2014. Uhmm

I now realised the problem. When you click on add news in your league's section, it actually does not automatically add the news to your league but rather creates a generic post. So it was a lack of attention not a flaw in the system.

Quote from Gutholz :I also wonder what do people think is "news-worthy?"
Because right now only announcements are posted: "New season starts", "New league founded"
But unless you race there you never know what happend of it...results, pictures, livestream recording, reports etc: You only find it when looking elsewhere.
I think it would be good to post results/reports too maybe. Because afterall the announcements are partly meant to advertise and what is better advertisement then succesful completion of last event?
Or would be too spammy? Maybe if all do it then nobody will feel like spammer Tilt

On cityliga.de the last news are from January 2015 and about previous season too. Maybe it got confused from there Nod

The main problem might be, that it takes effort and right now effort is a problem for manny leagues, since they focus it on the actual racing rather then the accompanying measures. CityLiga has no race reports since Season 14, for example, simply because there weren't enough people with enough time who wanted to do it. The most recent news on cityliga.de is acutally from Tue 12 May 2015, however the news module on the homepage is broken.

Genuine Racing events were essencially run by Dom in the final seasons and Rony makes an astonishing job to do everything on his own in his leagues and the Tuesday races.

GridQualification 1 - NGTR@KY2 & LX6@AS7r

The first Grid-Qualifying for Cityliga 21 takes place from Monday, July 27th, 2015 at 22:00:00 UTC until Friday, August 7th, 2015 at 21:59:59 UTC. From this season onwards, GQ1 will again feature the first two combinations of the season. You can find them on the following grid-qualifying servers:

Cityliga GridQuali A: UFR (with 10kg added mass) and XFR @ Kyoto Ring National [KY2]
Cityliga GridQuali B: LX6 @ Aston North reversed [AS7r]

Every participant has exactly 10 laps at his disposal to achieve an as fast as possible lap time. GQ servers are therefor not suited for practice laps, any laps over the limit will be penalised as per the regulations (at latest after the end of the GQ).

An attempt will be charged once the first split time is displayed on screen! Until then, you're free to abort your attempt at any point (either with Shift+P/S or through the menu) without it being charged.

The number of already driven laps will be displayed in the tracker as well as in-game when you leave pit lane. Should something in this regard have gone wrong, please inform us as quickly as possible, either through posting here or by writing a PM! The responsibility to report problems lies solely with those affected by them!

On combinations with multiple car models, you will be free to switch between them. However, laps will not be charged per car, but as a whole! There is also no obligation to run the car you used to set your best time in grid-qualifying in the race that follows. Should a driver set lap times without handicaps in a car that must carry an air restrictor or added mass, those lap times will not be counted, but the attempts will still be charged!

Since this is also an official part of the season, do please follow the rules regarding in-game names, especially when it comes to driver numbers.

It isn't mandatory to participate in GQ, however, those who don't and do on top of that not have a Greencard will automatically be put on the waiting list, meaning that they do not have a guaranteed slot in a grid.

We always try to make sure that new sign-ups are added to the tracker as quickly as possible. However, this is not an automated process, it is done by hand and can therefor not always be done immediately. Even if your name has not been added to the tracker yet, you're free to drive your GQ laps at any point after signing up. The laps will be recorded in any case, even without being displayed in the tracker. They will be shown as soon as you've been added.

Freshly tanned and more or less well recovered from the last season it once again is time for a new one, Cityliga 21! There will only be 9 scheduled races this far, as always with carefully picked car and track combinations which we hope, should produce some decent races. Then 10th race will be a post-season endurance race to end the Cityliga year 2015 on a high with a special event.

After a raft of rule changes to the regulations prior to last season we wanted to keep the ruleset a bit more stable this time and make fewer alterations. The biggest change this time round concerns the teams' championship: Teams are now made up of only 3 drivers with 2 scoring points in each race. The multiplication factors for scoring have also been altered. In addition to this the GQ system has also been slightly tweaked and in some aspects has reverted to the old regulations. In Grid-Qualifying 1 the first two combos of the season will be used again. In addition to that, the best 2 drivers of all grid below Grid 1 will be automatically promoted to the next highest grid unless they qualify themselves into an even higher grid. The top 10 of the overall championship is set in Grid 1. To know all changes we recommend to read the rulebook again!

if someone feels like having found a nice line around the kyoto combo, could he/she upload a spr? I have no idea about that line through the hairpin exiting the national/oval pits

Replay script

Hello,

since I have trouble to do live streaming from my computer, I asked myself how to efficiently take on a re-live recording of a stream: e.g. you record the commentators live, and do the stream around it in post production. This brings a few problems with it. since you need to go through everything three times and do camera changes and (if you are not using tv director) the overlays manually.

Recently I came to the idea, that it would be handy to simply use the lfs cameras, the replay time code and the lfs username in some sort of txt file and let the rest be scripted:

[timecode] [camera] [LFS World Name]
00:00:00.00, A, TFalke55
00:00:10.00, B, troy
00:01:00.12, C, n3ox
...

with A B C being different standard cameras (e.g. A=TV, B=Heli, C=custom,...)

Afterwards you should be able to just use fraps or alike to record it and you can upload it to youtube.

This would also require some sort of overlay system, TV director like, showing the current standings with gaps. But maybe it could show more information, if they are extractable from the replay file, like time in pitlane, given penalties or fastest laps :P

I hope someone takes on the challenge, I'd be really happy if.

Thanks for reading. Smile

Fortunately I've seen myself only once in that review Big grin
Although BurnoutCrew drivers where often involved, I think we have to rename to CrashCrew if we keep going like that Big grin Big grin Big grin

In your defense: When you have the most cars on the grid, it's more likely to have one of them involved in a crash
