I fixed the issue. The saves were there, it's just that the game went and loaded the wrong checkpoints. Lots of scripting bugs (ran into the Corporate Collapse script bug where when you defeat the Pinger, the level dosent end. Only way to fix to by redoing the entire level -_-) where levels delay ending or dont end at all. More AI getting stuck and they are pretty remedial. I'd find myself sniping with the silencer from a decent distance and they dont seem to recognize they just got hit by a sniper bullet and continue to stand in place. What really made me chuckle is how i managed to sabotage the machines on the last level right next to and in front of the ceph cloaked, and they do nothing about it.
I also wished they had more cloaked ceph. Theres like a million encounters but i believe you only really fight them last level right before end. Makes cloak tracker pointless 16k buy.
Even on normal, the train station pinger is hellishly difficult to defeat. It ALWAYS seems to have it's front facing you. But the hardest part for me was the pavillion section of the last level where you start to meet your first ceph. Instinct is to stay up on that ledge and fire away on down, but if you do that, you'll waste that cache up there. Spent literally 15 minutes there alone playing cat and mouse because i ran out of decent ammo .
Started playing not long ago. I think the AI is pretty good. They rarely get up from behind cover, know the right time to use grenades, and startled me when they managed to encircle me at one point when i was dumb enough to find cover right smack dab in the middle of a intersection.
Only once did AI get stuck and it was a Ceph solider thingy. And the ai also tends to run right past you if you get close.
The Graphics dont bother me at all like the demo did which im guessing they fixed since then. During the demo, every 90 degree turn was a messy nauseous blur. Now it's hardly that and perfect. For some reason this feels like a FPS version of prototype, but thats good because i loved that game
Rage edit:
Okay after i posted this, i began to play again sailing all the way to Spolier:The mission where you come out of a rather large building and see numerous giant ceph legs of some sort. I managed to fight halfway through underneath said legs before i took cover behind a pod and suddenly i got glitched underground and couldnt move. Then as soon as i'm able to move, 2 cephs come around the bend and blast me into oblivion. I was pissed that that BS, but what really got my blood boiling is how it loaded way back to the mission where you had to infiltrate the lab.
I just played it for like 5 minutes. The menu is pretty cool i guess and i guess the first seat i got put in for a tutorial type race was pretty sexy. But that's where the fun ended.
Using keyboard (DFP finally broke for good) the input lag was tremendous. Probably a entire second and a half holding on to a button it takes for the car to do whatever you want. I literally tried to stabilize the car on the straight as the game lets you take over and it took ages for the input to go through so the car would stop hugging the pit wall.
In general the whole thing just feels weird. Feels like a 5 ton hovercraft. Sure I'm judging from 5 minutes gameplay, but the fact that I'm turned off in the first 5 minutes when i should be asking for more. Gonna head over to Nogrip and or VirtualR to see what they're cooking up to fix this junk. It's almost like they release these things half baked because they know the extremists of the sim community will go and take it upon their selves to fix stuff for the consumers.
Oh well as i read on GTplanet last night in a "stance/hellaflush" GT5 photo thread by a bunch of people, "I just bought the game to make pretty pictures and make even prettier cars". Time to scour for savegames
I see that the "post your bike" thread is relatively popular and that a decent amount of LFS'ers are into biking so i'll give you guys a heads up. Good thing about it is that you can submit multiple entries and the community votes for winner. So if i LFS'er does in fact gets picked for the final run, we can all vouch and vote for them.
Its either Planetside or that monstrosity BF2145. I remember when Planetside first came out. I was okay with 20ish people around me, but when the battles started and it was hundreds, my PC tended to faint.
AoE 2, Red Alert 1, Need For Speed 1, Viper Racing (Saturday nights were leave tiff alone nights and let her have the dial-up) and Gamespy Arcade chats were fairly addiciting. So much hilarity. Like the forum except everyone had a lerts moment at least 7 times a night.
Car Salesman. You get a comfy office and strive to sell. More intrigued customers, more test drives=driving job given that you insist that you drive the car back to the dealer and take a few shortcuts here and there
I cant believe some of you buying into natural disasters happen because of over population. The shit happens because mother nature is on her period. If you going to go with that opinion then you minds well support the nazi genocide...
