have you allowed LFS to connect to the internet in the windows firewall options? If not, try doing it (Go to System Control->Windows Firewall and click on the second option in the left part of the window, should be something like "Grant internet access to programs". Add LFS there. Try again.).
If that still does not work, be sure you have turned UAC off in the security center. that one is the most useless feature of Vista because it will block certain aspects of programs and ask for permission every f***ing single time. So turn it of. And then try again

IIRC (and IIUnderstoodC), Scawen said in that episode of ASS that featured an interview with him (that was like... 2 weeks ago I think) that the plan for the next patch was to be a S2 Final. I dont think we'll get this one in Y, but Z may be the one that will finally bring us S2 Final.

And about that bit of ignorance: I was pretty surprised when I saw that german thread (half about a guy being so ignorant, half that it was still open), but come on guys, this forum is there to help the people
from what I can see, it is the old version (it contains the cutting error after the introduction, and the videos of FSR are bad quality).

They do upload to stage6. Look at simracingtonight.com, you can see that they embedded stage6 movies as "high quality versions" there.
I really look forward to viewing it in High-Res, but on Google Video this is not really any fun.
oh, and LOL @ SimFactory for thinking that an ISI engine would be realistic, but I think for only running oval it may indeed be enough...

The MRT5 and the RaceAbout are actually also real cars (which you indeed could have easily taken out of the LFSWiki or even Wikipedia), and the LX4/LX6 are of course built after Caterhams, but neither exact nor licensed copies and must therefore not be called Caterhams

back to topic: I know you hate spiders (I hate all insects that have bigger bodies than about 1 centimeter), but just put the pedal to the metal. If there is ANY spider in there, it won't attack you while its always about to get crushed by a pedal that moves.

Let's finish the physics first. If they, in the far future, have gone "nearly perfect", I would simply LOVE if LFS would be able to properly display this high amount of detail, and I would not mind buying a new PC to play it on since I also love the game. But not all of us are able to do this or will do this, and I think LFS would lose about 90% of its current target group - a price that neither me nor you should be willing to pay.

little hint... leave away the ?revision param, and it will afaik always display the HEAD revision. this could be useful for the first post especially.
you should talk to flo from 4players about this. he is the one that can help you since you bought it in the german reseller shop. there is few that scawen can do about this issue.
