Does cheating really go on in iracing?
on the Arox issue I am of the same opinion as Moose
I think people are judged on thier history (not like a book and its cover) meaning people who have been or at least been caught cheating in the past are IMO more likely to cheat again and will always be labled by some as "cheats"
Its the same story with cutters you see the same people time and time again cutting corners of certain tracks, you issue them a penalty and explain what they are doing wrong, then 5 mins later when they think no one is looking they just go back to cutting again.
With the internet allowing users to be almost annomous, trust is one thing it seems people give way too lightly, go ahead if you want and trust that someone has "grown up" but do you really know them that well?

May I ask is your PC overclocked at all?
Have you changed any settings in the BIOS just before LFS stopped working?
Did you update the GFX card drivers or install a new GFX card?
Do you have any other games installed & are they running fine?
Have you tried downloading and installing a fresh copy of LFS? (EDIT: I just re-read that you tried this << )
just trying to get a grip on what might be happening

Did you have a good look at the contacts in the battery compartment? maybe clean them if they need it, or if you can adjust the spring a bit? other than that I'm out of ideas.
Its sad when loved equipment fails.

About 30cm snow here and its still falling, rain forcast for the weekend tho
Deko, winter tyres are not just for snow, they will grip better than "normal" tyres on any surface below 7°C

Used to be the 1st thing done to all my vans, before I started buying ones without glass, was to "blackout" the back windows, sometimes just with some plywood
the reason was to stop dirty, would be crooks from seeing any tools or valuable stuff in the van.
The 1 way glass is a good idea IMO security and some rear visibilty also

Most places in the UK have to order in winter (not snow) tyres if you want them.
They are not pointless its just we brits are not used to seeing or driving on them.
IIRC they make a big difference in temps under about 5deg on all surfaces, due to the fact that normal "summer" tyres harden up in the cold even really soft ones, in some EU countrys like switzerland it may even be law to have them, but I'm not sure.
As Niall said its not really worth it with the amount of icy weather we get here in the UK its at the most a couple of months.
Snow chains are leagal to use in the UK as long as you don't get caught using them on a road without snow on it

From the emails I've been recieving from Chuck, the offer is only for LFS folks who have not yet registered for iracing, and not for existing customers!
I also think it limited and runs out today

My current telescope is an 8" diameter Meade LX90 SCT.

I can see further than the moon yes, but its more about magnitude than distance, some of the fainter deep space objects are more challenging to photograph, needing much longer exposure times (sometimes hours) whilst accuratly tracking to counteract for the spin of the earth.
Also my location is near a busy road and vibration through the ground is a big issue.
Visually I have seen some stunning sights with my scope and continue to do so
I will try to take a shot of jupiter tonight I can see it out my window now
thats over 450 million miles away! and post on here for you Some of the stars you can see with the naked eye are over 3000 light years away!
